Pinterest Ads Management Services

Turn Pinterest browsing into a fair, carefully run test of a new sales channel.

We'll reply with a written proposal: the work, what we need from you and an estimated timeline.

The hidden problems

Why Pinterest ad campaigns fail before they ever get a fair chance

The wrong campaign goal, weak Pins, out-of-date product details, broken landing pages or tracking you can't trust can make it impossible to tell whether your ad money is working.

  • The campaign goal doesn't match what you need customers to do

The campaign is set to chase whatever action Pinterest can easily count, before anyone agrees what a real customer result is, which page they should land on and how it will be measured.

  • Pins are promoted with no plan behind them

Ordinary posts made for your normal Pinterest feed are reused as ads without checking what question the viewer has, whether the image proves the point, the right format, how it crops on a phone or what the viewer should do next.

  • Your product list isn't ready for ads

Missing product codes, old prices or stock levels, badly grouped products and items Pinterest has rejected all change what can actually run as an ad.

  • The Pin and the landing page don't match

The picture, product, offer, availability, claim or call to action (the button or next step) changes after the click, and the buyer loses confidence.

  • Sales tracking looks complete but isn't

The Pinterest Tag on your website and the data sent from your own systems can count the same sale twice, miss actions from people who agreed to tracking, send the wrong order value or stop counting before a real lead or order happens.

  • Reports treat Pinterest's credited sales as profit

Saves, clicks and the sales Pinterest credits to itself are shown without the ad spend, refunds, lead quality, profit margin or the limits of how Pinterest gives credit.

Exactly what's included

What our Pinterest ads management includes in the first round

First we help you decide whether Pinterest suits the way your customers discover, plan and buy. Then Softscotch spells out exactly what is included: the account, countries, campaign goal, who we target, the ads (called Pins), your product list (catalog), the page people land on, tracking, budget and reports. We check the whole path before anything goes live. Pinterest decides which accounts and ads it approves and how widely ads are shown, so we never promise approval or sales results.

Eight areas of work take you from getting your account ready and agreeing a business goal, through seasonal timing, approved campaign setup and safe launch limits, to your first useful report.

Account, goal and budget brief

We confirm who owns the account, which countries you sell in, who has access, your business goal, what counts as a real result, the budget, the numbers that make it worthwhile, who approves work and who can pause spending.

Who we target and how

We choose the campaign type in scope, the targeting options, where your ads appear, the action Pinterest should aim for, who to leave out and which automatic settings to use, based on what your account offers.

Pins, ad types and creative plan

We set out the ad ideas included, the photos and videos we start from, the wording, image shapes, video needs, boards, versions, previews, usage rights and exactly how much production work is covered.

Product list (catalog) readiness

When included, we check where your product data comes from, product codes, sizes and colors, prices, stock, images, links, product groups, Pinterest's error reports and who on your side is responsible.

{}

Landing pages and proof of sales

We keep the product, offer and next step the same after the click, and check the named tracking events from the Pinterest Tag or your own systems, including consent, customer matching, order value and links to your sales records.

Rules, launch and spending limits

We review Pinterest's current ad rules, restricted content, targeting limits, schedules, budgets, approvals, monitoring, what to do if something goes wrong and who is allowed to make changes.

Reports and the next test

We report ad delivery, engagement, the sales Pinterest takes credit for and the real business results you accept separately, then recommend one clear, evidence-backed next step for the campaign.

Seasonal timing and planning calendar

Many people use Pinterest to plan ahead for events and seasons. We map the key moments for your products and plan when campaigns and Pins should start, so your ads reach people while they are still planning, not after they have bought.

Why Softscotch

How we keep your Pins, products, pages and results connected

Every live campaign can be traced back to an approved offer, ad, set of products, landing page, agreed meaning of a sale or lead, budget and the next business decision it should help you make.

We tell you plainly why Pinterest fits

Your proposal states why Pinterest is worth testing, which country and buying situation it serves, and when another channel might be a better choice.

Every ad answers a buyer's question

Every Pin is made for a named customer situation, with an approved message, a picture that proves the point, a matching landing page and a clear next step.

We check your product list before spending money

We review product details, prices, stock, images, links, grouping and Pinterest's error reports before trusting shopping ads to run.

Website and server tracking agree

When you track sales both through the website code and through your own systems, we test that each sale has one ID, the right time and value, and is not counted twice. We never assume that Pinterest receiving the data proves the sale was a good one.

Someone is in charge of spending and automation

You can see budgets, settings that let Pinterest widen your audience, schedules, changes, monitoring and how to pause ads at any time.

Reports stay honest

Pinterest's own credit for sales, your website analytics and the real results from your store or customer records (CRM) each keep their own definitions and known limits.

Safe launch and improvement

Preview and checks before launchCheck ads, image crops, wording, links, mobile pages, tracking, product status, budgets, schedules and account messages from Pinterest.
Fair campaign testsChange only one thing at a time, such as the audience, the ad, the products or a setting, and only when the budget, the way people are split into groups and the results allow a useful comparison.
Monitoring and fixing problemsSet checks for spending, rejected ads, product list errors, broken pages, tracking and delivery, plus named people who pause, correct and escalate problems.
Measuring and learning
Delivery and ad auction contextReport spend, impressions (times your ad was shown), reach (people who saw it), frequency (how often each person saw it), placements, spending pace and anything limiting delivery, including Pinterest's early learning period.
Engagement and savesKeep clicks, clicks through to your website, saves, video viewing and other engagement separate, each with its own meaning.

Lead, order and refund qualityLink accepted results, order value, refunds, cancellations and profit margin, but only where customers can be matched reliably and the definitions are clear.
Limits when numbers are smallWe don't name a "winner" when there are too few ad views, tracked actions or matched sales, and we say what extra evidence is still needed.
Scope, costs and who runs it next
Ad spend and platform chargesList the ad spend, taxes, who pays the bills and any platform or partner costs that sit outside our service fee.
Creative and production costsList and price photography, design, video, editing, stock images, creators, translation and rounds of changes when they are needed.
Product list, page and tracking costsKeep separate the cost of fixing product feeds, store tools, landing page work, Tag or Conversions API development and analytics setup.
No promise of resultsState clearly that we don't promise ad approval, product acceptance, how widely ads are shown, reach, saves, leads, CPA (cost per sale or lead), sales, ROAS (return on ad spend) or revenue.

Research and implementation tools

We build with the Pinterest options your account actually has today

Campaign goals, ad types, places your ad can appear, targeting settings, the Pinterest Tag (a small piece of code on your website), the Conversions API (a direct link that sends sales data from your systems to Pinterest), catalogs and test options are all checked for your account and country before we use them.

What we check

Seven checks, from getting ready to your first report

Each check ends with the problem we found, the fix it needs, the person responsible, whether it is approved and what happens next.

Check 01 · Account, goal and budget

Account, goal and budget

We confirm that your account is ready and the business decision is clear before any ad production begins.

The result names the countries included, the campaign goal, the ad budget, what our fee covers, who approves and when we would stop.

Readiness startCheck the business and ad account, profile, billing, website domain, images and videos, permissions and any account warnings.
Input inputAgree the customer situation, product or offer, the action you want, what a useful lead or order is and the money limits.
Setup structureChoose a current campaign goal and a tracked action that your account supports and your business can actually measure.
Check go liveConfirm the ad budget, schedule, who pays the bills, number of campaigns, how much monitoring to expect and what our fee leaves out.
Risk controlFlag gaps in access, billing, eligibility, tracking, team time or approvals that mean it is too early to launch.
Decision resultApprove the campaign brief, the people in charge, the budget and the next build step.
Check 02 · Who we target and how

Who we target and how

We pick a targeting and delivery approach that Pinterest offers for your country and campaign goal.

Targeting settings and automatic features can work differently depending on the account, the campaign goal and the country.

Readiness startList the customer data you are allowed to use, website visitors, interests, search words, age and gender groups, devices, countries and who to leave out.
Input inputCheck where each audience comes from, consent, how long data is kept, audience size, how recent it is and whether your account can use it.
Setup structureSet the campaign, ad groups, placements, bidding, schedule and automatic settings, with a reason for each.
Check go liveCompare previews and settings with the agreed customer situation, budget and landing page before anything goes live.
Risk controlNote the risks from audience widening, sensitive targeting, small audiences, overlapping audiences and features that change.
Decision resultApprove the setup, or write down the access, data or rules issue that has to be solved first.
Check 03 · Pins, ad types and rights

Pins, ad types and usage rights

We build the ads included in scope around an approved buyer question and landing page.

Your proposal states the ad ideas, ad types, image shapes, versions, rounds of changes, production work and outside costs.

Readiness startList the Pins, images, videos, logos, wording, offers, boards, original files and usage rights you already have.
Input inputMatch each ad idea to a planning moment, a product, proof, a claim, its terms and a clear next step.
Setup structureChoose ad types Pinterest currently allows and make only the named ads and versions.
Check go liveCheck phone crops, text, branding, disclaimers, links, the board around the ad and that the landing page matches.
Risk controlFlag claims without proof, missing rights, expired offers, versions that are hard to read and production work beyond scope.
Decision resultApprove the named ad IDs, final wording, rights status and the set of ads ready to launch.
Check 04 · Product list and shopping readiness

Product list and shopping ads readiness

We confirm that the products you advertise are accurate, in stock and grouped in a way that helps you make business decisions.

Pinterest controls how it reads your product list and whether it approves your store and products.

Readiness startCheck your business account, the website you have claimed (proved you own) on Pinterest, your store setup, who owns the product data, country, language and currency.
Input inputCheck required and helpful product details, product codes, sizes and colors, images, price, stock and links.
Setup structureSet the product groups, filters, products left out, each group's role in the campaign and who keeps it updated.
Check go liveReview upload status, rejected items, warnings, out-of-date products and a sample of live product pages.
Risk controlFlag rule, product detail, stock, price, update timing and delivery issues that could stop ads running or make them wrong.
Decision resultApprove the accepted set of products, or hold the shopping launch until the listed fixes pass.
Check 05 · Landing pages and sales tracking

Landing pages and sales tracking

We make sure the page delivers what the ad promised and confirm which actions can actually be measured.

Pinterest receiving a tracked action does not prove the person gave consent, that every action was caught, that the value is right or that it was a real sale.

Readiness startCheck the live page, product, version, price, stock, offer, terms, proof and call to action on phones and computers.
Input inputMatch page visits, product views, leads, checkouts, purchases and any other included actions to what they mean for your business.
Setup structureTest the Pinterest Tag and, when included, data sent from your own systems, with its details, times, customer IDs, value and currency.
Check go liveCheck how consent choices are respected, that sales aren't counted twice, that thank-you pages work, and match sample records to your customer list or store.
Risk controlFlag tracked actions or pages that are missing, counted twice, out of date, blocked, given the wrong value or have no one responsible for them.
Decision resultApprove the set of tracked actions and state which results are still missing or too unreliable for Pinterest to aim for.
Check 06 · Rules, launch and spending limits

Rules, launch and spending limits

We only launch approved campaigns that have passed current checks, with clear rules on who is in charge.

Pinterest decides ad review, eligibility, where ads appear and any action taken against an account.

Aa
Readiness startReview Pinterest's current advertising rules for your product, claims, ads, targeting, landing page and country before launch.
Input inputConfirm the final campaigns, audiences, product groups, Pins, links, tracking, budgets, schedules and approvers.
Setup structureRun account, computer, phone, preview, product list, tracking and landing page checks before switching anything on.
Check go liveSwitch campaigns on through the named person and record campaign IDs, settings, time, budget and starting status.
Risk controlWatch spending, rejected ads, delivery, product list, landing page and tracking alerts, with a tested way to pause.
Decision resultRecord the approved launch state, Pinterest's review status, any faults and who runs the campaign next.
Check 07 · First report and next test

First report and next test

We turn what was delivered and the quality of real business results into one clear, limited next decision.

The sales Pinterest takes credit for and trends you can see do not, on their own, prove the ads brought in extra business you wouldn't have had anyway.

Readiness startReport spend, delivery, placements, how often people saw the ads and how spend was split across products and ads before judging performance.
Input inputKeep engagement, saves, clicks to your website and video viewing separate, using current definitions and showing the volume behind each.
Setup structureState the attribution settings and compare Pinterest's numbers with your analytics and sales records where possible.
Check go liveShow accepted leads or orders, their value, refunds, cancellations and margin, but only where the definitions are reliable.
Risk controlAvoid naming winners when numbers are small or when audiences, budgets, offers, pages or tracking changed at the same time.
Decision resultChoose to keep going, fix, pause, expand or run one allowed test, and agree the budget and the person in charge.

What to expect

How long it takes, from first brief to your first useful Pinterest report

Checking your account and access and writing the campaign brief usually takes 2 to 4 working days. A simple first launch usually takes 5 to 10 working days once your ads, product data, landing pages, tracking, privacy decisions and approvals are ready. Fixing your product list, making new ads, technical connection work and Pinterest's own review can all add time.

How we compare

How we compare with a typical Pinterest ads agency: a measured test, not a pile of promoted Pins

Our service links what your customers are planning and the real facts about your products to campaign choices, landing pages, spending limits and the business results you actually accept as real.

The risk of using a different agency for everything
  • Starts with leftover social media posts
  • Picks a campaign goal by its name alone
  • Treats broad interests as a targeting plan
  • Advertises every product you have
  • Assumes an accepted product list is accurate
  • Lets Pins and pages stop matching
  • Treats saves as a sign people will buy
  • Trusts Pinterest's sales totals on their own
  • Hides production costs and ad spend
  • Promises reach, cost per sale or return on ad spend
vs
Softscotch
  • Starts with a named buyer situation
  • Checks the goal fits an action we can track
  • Writes down where audiences come from and their limits
  • Builds approved groups of products
  • Tests product details, price and stock
  • Keeps the ad's promise and the page matched
  • Reports each type of engagement by its meaning
  • Checks against your real sales where data allows
  • Lists ad spend, ads and technical work separately
  • Is clear about the limits on approval and results

Ethical, transparent, always on

One accountable team, strictly white-hat (only methods search engines and platforms allow), no shortcuts and no surprises. Support whenever you need it.

One plan, full-stack access

One Softscotch plan gives you access to the full service stack, coordinated around your priorities.

You do not need a separate agency or retainer for every channel. Your plan can draw from search, paid media, web, ecommerce, outreach, automation, lead generation, messaging, content, creative and operations. The agreed scope sets what is active, in what order and at what capacity.

Pricing approach

One price for everything, not a stack of separate retainers.

You get one price for your whole marketing, not a separate retainer for every service. SEO, paid ads, your website, automations, cold email and newsletters, we run all of it as a single scope, so you get the most result for what you pay. Agencies sell each of these on its own, so the invoice climbs whether or not that line drives a single lead.

Bought separately, service by service

A different agency or retainer for each service. The bill stacks up fast, and keeps climbing whether or not each one moves a single lead.

10 separate services$12,750–23,500/mo

Plus the one-off build, and a fresh contract, kickoff and onboarding delay for every new service you add.

All of it, one scope

We run your whole marketing as one engagement, so you get the most result for what you pay, not a pile of disconnected invoices.

Pinterest ads management FAQs

These answers explain what account access we need, what you get, product lists, ads, tracking, costs, timing, who does what and the limits on results.

Filter
What is included in Pinterest ads management?

Your proposal can include account and access checks, campaign strategy, seasonal campaign timing, targeting setup, Pins and ad types, product list (catalog) work, landing pages, tracking through the Pinterest Tag or Conversions API, rules checks, launch, monitoring and reporting. It names the exact campaigns, ads, countries and work included.

When is Pinterest a good place to advertise?

It can be a good fit when your customers use Pinterest to discover ideas or plan purchases related to what you sell, and your business has suitable images or video, landing pages, tracking, budget and the ability to deliver. Our brief may also conclude that another channel is a better place to test first.

What account access do you need?

We need access to your Pinterest business and ad accounts, plus the billing and content permissions the work requires. Where relevant, we also need your profile, website domains, Pins, boards, product list, Pinterest Tag, sales tracking setup and reporting.

Which campaign goal will you use?

We pick a campaign goal Pinterest currently offers that matches the business action we agreed, an action Pinterest can track, what your account is allowed to use, your budget and how ready your tracking is.

Are new Pins included?

Only the ad ideas, ad types, versions, rounds of changes and production work named in your proposal. Photography, design, video, editing, creators, stock images and translation are separate unless they are listed and priced.

Do I need a product catalog?

Not for every campaign. When the chosen shopping campaign needs one, we set out where the product data should come from, the product details needed, product groups, how updates happen, how errors are checked and who on your side owns it.

Will you fix my product data?

Your proposal states whether we only check whether your product list is ready, set up product groups, or actually fix the product feed. Changes to your store platform, feed tools and ongoing product data upkeep are separate unless they are named.

Who can you target?

The plan can use the interests, search words, age and gender groups, website visitors or customer lists that Pinterest currently offers, where it makes sense and you have permission. We check what is available, audience size, automatic options and limits on sensitive data inside your account.

Do you set up the Pinterest Tag or Conversions API?

Only when it is listed in your proposal. We can check the tracking you already have, or set up the named website code or server connection, then test consent handling, the details sent, customer matching, order value and that nothing is counted twice.

Who decides whether customer data can be used?

You do. You keep the decisions about the legal reason for using data, privacy, consent, how long data is kept and permission to use customer lists for ads. Softscotch only uses the data and account connections you have approved in the proposal.

Can you guarantee my ads or product list will be approved?

No. We can review Pinterest's current rules and fix the issues we're able to fix, but Pinterest alone decides on account, ad, store and product approvals and any action against them.

Is ad spend included in your fee?

No, unless your proposal clearly says otherwise. Your ad budget, taxes and Pinterest's billing are your own costs, separate from our fees for strategy, production, technical work and management.

What does the report include?

It can include spend, impressions (times your ads were shown), reach, frequency, placements, clicks, clicks through to your site, saves, video viewing, the sales Pinterest takes credit for and real results from your own records, each with a clear meaning and its limits.

Do Pinterest's reported sales prove the ads brought in extra sales?

No. Pinterest gives its ads credit for sales based on the settings chosen (attribution). To estimate the extra sales the ads really caused, you need a fair comparison group, enough data and as few other changes as possible during the test.

Can you run an A/B test?

Yes, when your account offers a suitable test and the thing being tested, the budget, how people are split into groups, the length of the test, the main result and your sales data are strong enough to support a useful decision.

Can you guarantee impressions, saves, leads or return on ad spend?

No. Softscotch is responsible for the agreed setup, checks, day-to-day running and reporting. But Pinterest's review, the ad auction, how people respond, your products, offers, landing pages, data and delivery all affect results too.

How soon can a campaign launch?

A simple first launch usually takes 5 to 10 working days once access, ads, product data, landing pages, tracking, privacy decisions and approvals are ready. Pinterest's own review, fixing your product list, making new ads and technical connection work can all add time.

How is Pinterest ads management priced?

The price depends on the number of accounts, countries, campaigns, ads and ad types, product list work, Tag or Conversions API setup, website changes, monitoring, reporting and outside costs. Your proposal sets out exactly what is included before work begins.
