Landing Page Design Services
Turn your campaign brief into a page your team can build with the content, screen states, costs and handover all made clear.
We'll reply with a written proposal: the work, what we need from you and an estimated timeline.
What needs to be settled before anyone polishes the look
A page can look finished while its offer, content, how the form behaves, the order of sections on mobile, what your platform can do and who builds it next are all still undecided.
The project starts with inspiration, not a business brief
Who the page is for, where visitors come from, the offer, proof, the main action and who owns the page are still being argued over when design work starts.
Placeholder text makes the layout look easier than it is
Real headings, proof, terms, form error messages and long mobile content only arrive after the layout has already been approved.
The design only shows what happens when everything goes right
What the page looks like when a field is selected, an entry is wrong, something is loading, a send fails, a form is sent twice, the thank-you message appears or someone has turned off animations is left for the builder to make up.
Mobile is treated as a shrunk-down desktop screenshot
In-between screen sizes, larger text settings, the order of content, tap target sizes, keyboard use and elements that stick to the screen have no agreed rules.
Page parts and images aren't linked to how the page is built
Unnamed versions, copied styles, unclear image and font licenses and no named developer for each part create rework during the build.
The design file is expected to do the builder's job
A static design is assumed to guarantee working forms, analytics, speed, connections to other systems and accessibility, even though nobody has been named to build the page.
What our landing page design services include: seven deliverables
Softscotch turns your approved campaign, offer and proof into a landing page design that your developers or page builder can build without having to guess how anything should work. The work can include the words on the page, wireframes (simple layout plans) built with your real content, the visual style, how the page adapts to phones and other screen sizes, every form screen, accessibility notes, a clickable prototype to review and a finished handover package you approve. We usually aim to deliver the first brief and cost plan within 3 to 5 business days once we have what we need from you, realistic wireframes in weeks 1 to 2 and a fully annotated handover in weeks 4 to 6, as long as content, images, reviews and your website platform's limits are clear. Building the page, connecting it to other systems, analytics, launch and ongoing CRO (conversion rate optimization: improving a live page so more visitors take action) are separate unless your proposal includes them.
Your written proposal sets out which page, versions, copywriting, screen states, review rounds and handover support are included in your fee.
Signed page and campaign brief
We confirm the included page and versions, audience, traffic source, offer, proof, main action, website platform, reviewers and who will build the page.
Content order and agreed page copy
We arrange the offer, proof, answers to buyer worries and terms, and write the agreed headings, button text, form labels, help text, error messages and confirmations.
Wireframes with real content, and rules for every screen size
We show the agreed desktop, mobile and in-between screen layouts using realistic long, short, missing, loading, error and success content.
Visual style and reusable page parts
We define fonts, color, spacing, images, animation, reusable page parts, their versions and content limits, all tested against your approved content.
Notes on forms, accessibility and risks
We write down form labels, how keyboard users move through the page, error messages, recovery, tap target sizes, color contrast, consent choices and what we assume happens to leads, so the build supports them.
Prototype and agreed review rounds
We walk the named reviewers through the main paths, very long or very short content and how things should behave, and record what is approved, changed or put off.
Approved files and annotated handover
We deliver the approved version, final copy, images and files, rules for page parts and screen states, mobile behavior, links to build resources, known limits and checks for the builder.
Review of your current page and competitors
We look at your existing landing pages and any results you share, plus pages competitors use for similar offers, to spot what confuses visitors, what is missing and where your page can stand out before we start the new design.
Why our handover actually works for your team
Real content, realistic screen states, your platform's limits and clear owners stay linked from the first wireframe to the final approved file.
Design and building are kept separate
Your proposal states whether Softscotch stops at handover, reviews a test version of the built page or also builds the page, connects systems and launches it.
Your real offer shapes the wireframes
Approved copy, proof, terms, usage rights and realistic content lengths guide the layout before any visual polish.
Important screen states are shown
Normal, selected, error, loading, confirmation, mobile and reduced-animation states are either designed or clearly handed to the next owner.
Accessibility is planned from the start
Reading order, labels, keyboard focus, tap target sizes, contrast, text reflowing to fit, animation and alternatives become build requirements, not a last-minute check with a design tool add-on.
Platform limits are checked before handover
We talk through with your builder what your platform does out of the box, what needs custom work, the backup options and what isn't possible, before the design is approved.
Your builder gets decisions, not just pictures
The approved version, notes, images, content rules, links to build resources, known exceptions and the review owner all stay together.
The 36 landing page design decisions that prevent rework later
The work can cover what the buyer is trying to do, content, reusable page parts, forms, how the page adapts to different screens, risk, reviews and the handover to your builders.
Landing page design tools: we use the ones your reviewers and builders can access
Figma is one option, not a requirement. Your proposal names the file format, paid user seats, images and other assets, access and the way your team will turn the design into a live page.
Seven reviews that make the handover usable
Each review shows what is ready, what still needs a decision and who is responsible for the next step.
Are you buying a design only, or a working page?
Before design work begins, we confirm the campaign, page, versions, the action you want visitors to take, what we'll deliver, who builds it and how it gets approved.
This work ends when you approve the design handover, unless building the page or reviewing a test build is clearly included.
Are the offer and evidence ready to design with real content?
Before the layout is locked in, we collect approved copy, proof, terms, usage rights, content owners and realistic content lengths.
Draft content that isn't approved yet is listed as an open item, with an owner and a due date.
Can a buyer follow the page on more than two screen sizes?
Before detailed styling, we use real content to review the order, emphasis, actions, forms and how the page adapts to different screens.
Sample screens need written rules for the screen widths and content situations in between them.
Does the form explain every question it asks and every result?
We design the included fields, labels, help text, error checks, consent, recovery and confirmation around an agreed process for handling and responding to leads.
The working error checks, spam protection, data security, creating records in your CRM and sending leads to the right person stay with the builders unless added.
Can the chosen design be built and reused consistently?
We link fonts, color, spacing, images, animation, reusable page parts and display modes (such as dark mode) to your approved content and the system your page is built on.
A reusable page part in the design file still needs a matching part and an owner on the live website.
Can your builder clearly see the important accessibility requirements?
We review the intended page structure, keyboard and focus behavior, text reflowing to fit, tap target sizes, forms, animation, alternatives and known platform limits.
This review improves the instructions for your builders, but it doesn't certify the finished page or prove it meets the law.
Can your builders get on with it without guessing how things should work?
We identify the approved version, explain how things behave, attach usable images, files and requirements, and agree any included review of the test build.
A correctly built page that adapts to screens and works for everyone may deliberately look a little different from a fixed screenshot.
From a request for "a nice-looking page" to an approved package ready to build
Your team wants a new landing page, but the business brief, content and the person who'll build it aren't settled.
- Unclear business briefThe audience, traffic source, offer, proof, main action and which page is included aren't approved yet.
- Perfect-world examplesPlaceholder content and a single "everything goes right" path hide problems with forms, mobile, errors and long copy.
- No one named to build itEveryone assumes someone else will supply images, decide how things behave, connect the systems and judge the result.
The page has an approved content order, visual style, realistic behavior on different screens and a named list of open questions.
- Wireframes with real contentThe offer, proof, terms, forms and actions are checked with realistic content lengths and screen states.
- Reusable page partsVersions, states, content limits, screen size rules and links to the build are all explained.
- Limits out in the openAccessibility plans, consent, images, speed risks and platform limits each have a named owner.
Your builders receive one approved version, the included files and clear checks for the build.
- One approved versionScreens, approved copy, images, reusable page parts and build links all point to the same dated file.
- Build checks anyone can seeThe main paths, screen size conditions, form results and allowed differences can be reviewed on the test version of the page.
- Known limits and next stepsOpen questions, work not included, accepted changes and whoever reviews the test build all stay in view.
Landing page design for your type of business: it changes with the buyer's decision
Proof, terms, the questions you ask on forms, accessibility, translation and how fast you promise to respond all differ by offer, market and the way your business runs.
B2B and software companies
Several reviewers may need technical proof, details on how it connects with other tools, rules for screening leads and a clear demo or sales handover before they approve the page.
Ecommerce and retail
Product details, offer terms, price, delivery, returns, images and buying on a phone all need a clear plan for every screen size.
Local and multi-location
Location, service area, the choice to call or book, proof from each branch and realistic response times change the page's main action.
Healthcare and wellness
Health claims, privacy, accessibility, appointment availability and collecting sensitive information need decisions from you and qualified specialists.
Financial and professional services
Key terms, who qualifies, evidence, consent and required notices need to be just as clear as the main action.
Education and training
Program dates, fees, who qualifies, instructor proof and application steps mean long content and page states that change with deadlines.
Events and webinars
Date, time zone, capacity, speaker images, agenda, sign-up and confirmation need reusable page parts with honest "sold out" and "closed" states.
Real estate and property
Listings, locations, who the agent is, separate paths for buyers and sellers and changing photos need flexible page parts and useful backups.
Legal services
Which laws apply, whether the case is a fit, confidentiality and conflict-of-interest questions need precise labels, careful claims and a legal review by your own lawyers.
Apps and memberships
Plan comparisons, sign-in, free trial, payment, device and animation states need every interaction planned, plus versions for people who turn animation off.
Nonprofits and public interest groups
Trust, how funds are used, donation choices, volunteer options and accessibility needs shape the order of proof and actions.
International campaigns
Translation, right-to-left languages, date and number formats, fonts and terms for each market need realistic content and named local reviewers.

How long landing page design takes: when to expect the brief, wireframes and handover
The first six stages show a typical plan for designing one page, as long as content, images, access and feedback are ready. The last six stages show our wider month-by-month plan and only apply when those wider services are included.
Landing Page Design, from first plan to approved handover
Brief, cost and dependency plan
Once we have the inputs we need, we confirm the included page and versions, which wireframe comes first, available content and images, who will build it, tool and specialist costs, review dates and what's not included.
KPI First plan deliveredContent and image readiness
Review the approved page copy, proof, claims, terms, brand images, fonts, usage rights, platform limits and realistic content lengths, and give each blocking gap an owner.
KPI Inputs reviewedWireframes with real content

KPI Next round agreedHow we compare with a typical landing page designer: a complete page, not two perfect screenshots
The approved design covers content, screen states, rules for different screen sizes, accessibility intentions, known limits of your platform and the checks your builder should run.
- Gives a quote from a sample picture before the page, versions, offer and main action are agreed
- Says copywriting is included without naming who supplies product facts, proof, terms and final approval
- Uses placeholder text and provides one perfect desktop screen and one perfect mobile screen
- Shows only empty form fields and the "sent successfully" screen
- Runs a design tool add-on at the end and calls that proof the page meets accessibility rules
- Adds animation with no agreed purpose, no way to control it and no reduced-animation version
- Picks fonts, images and video without checking usage rights, license costs, how they'll load on each screen or backups
- Approves interactions before checking your actual CMS, page builder or the person who will build it
- Calls a design file or a snippet of AI-generated code a working page and leaves system connections unmentioned
- Promises a fixed handover date without allowing for content, images, review rounds or specialist decisions
- Names the included page and versions, buyer, offer, main action, reviewers and the person who will build it
- Aims to deliver a first brief and cost plan once inputs are ready, and shows which open items could push delivery back
- Uses approved real copy, proof, terms, usage rights and realistic long, short and missing content
- Defines desktop, mobile and in-between behavior instead of relying on two screenshots
- Covers the agreed selected, error-check, loading, failed, duplicate, confirmation and recovery states
- Writes notes on page structure, keyboard behavior, focus, labels, tap target sizes, text reflow, animation and questions for specialists
- States which tool seats, fonts, images, research, specialist reviews and build work are included and which are priced separately
- Checks what's built in, what's custom, the backups and what isn't possible with your CMS, page builder or developer
- Delivers one approved version with files, images, rules, links to the build, known limits and build checks
- Keeps design delivery separate from how the live page performs on accessibility, speed, analytics, system connections, conversions and revenue

Ethical, transparent, always on
One accountable team, strictly white-hat (only methods search engines and platforms allow), no shortcuts and no surprises. Support whenever you need it.
One Softscotch plan gives you access to the full service stack, coordinated around your priorities.
You do not need a separate agency or retainer for every channel. Your plan can draw from search, paid media, web, ecommerce, outreach, automation, lead generation, messaging, content, creative and operations. The agreed scope sets what is active, in what order and at what capacity.
One price for everything, not a stack of separate retainers.
You get one price for your whole marketing, not a separate retainer for every service. SEO, paid ads, your website, automations, cold email and newsletters, we run all of it as a single scope, so you get the most result for what you pay. Agencies sell each of these on its own, so the invoice climbs whether or not that line drives a single lead.
A different agency or retainer for each service. The bill stacks up fast, and keeps climbing whether or not each one moves a single lead.
Plus the one-off build, and a fresh contract, kickoff and onboarding delay for every new service you add.
We run your whole marketing as one engagement, so you get the most result for what you pay, not a pile of disconnected invoices.
- SEO: technical, on-page, content, local and AI search
- Template-built pages (programmatic SEO), links from other websites (backlinks) and authority
- CRO and landing pages
- Paid ads across Google and Meta
- Automations, cold email and newsletters
- WordPress build, setup and ongoing care
- One team, one roadmap and one point of contact
- Reporting tied to qualified leads and revenue
Priced to your site after the audit. No sticker price, and no per-service creep.
Landing page design services FAQs: what to settle before you hire us
Straight answers about what you get, what we need from you, timing, costs, accessibility, files, who builds the page and likely limits.
What business problem does Landing Page Design solve?
It turns your approved campaign and offer into a page design your builders can understand and build. Softscotch settles the content order, the words on the page, how it adapts to different screens, form and interaction states, the visual style, reusable page parts, accessibility requirements and the handover details that a polished screenshot usually leaves out. On its own, it doesn't create a working page or guarantee any sales result.
What exactly can be included in the design engagement?
Your proposal can include a signed page brief, agreed page copy, wireframes with real content, the visual style, mobile and form states, reusable page parts, accessibility notes, a prototype review, approved design files and an annotated handover for your builders. It names the exact page and versions, review rounds, who writes the copy, the design tool, included images, who builds the page, outside costs and what's not included.
Does landing page design include development and launch?
Not automatically. Design-only work ends with the approved handover package. A review of the test build or the actual build can be added, and our full Landing Pages service can take you from planning all the way to a working, launched page. Work in your CMS or page builder, connecting systems, analytics, hosting, putting the page live and upkeep are separate unless written into your proposal.
When should we choose Landing Pages or Landing Page CRO instead?
Choose Landing Pages when you want Softscotch to take care of a working page through building, connecting systems and launch. Choose Landing Page CRO when you already have a live page and need its data looked at, changes made and results measured. Landing Page Design is the narrower service that runs from brief to handover, though a proposal can combine these services with separate deliverables, fees and owners.
What is the first concrete deliverable?
We usually aim to deliver a signed design brief, cost outline and list of dependencies within 3 to 5 business days once we have your campaign, offer, content, brand, platform details and decision makers. It names the included page and versions, the page's job, which wireframe comes first, missing content and images, tool and specialist costs, review dates, who will build the page and what's not included.
What does our team need to provide and approve?
You provide or approve the audience, offer, price, who qualifies, product facts, proof, claims, terms, brand materials, the campaign that sends visitors, your platform's current limits, what you assume about forms and your CRM, editable images and files and usage rights. We also need access to the right tools, a contact on the build team, the risk reviewers you appoint and decision makers who can approve content and design within the planned time.
Do you write the landing-page copy?
We can include the page copy named in your proposal, such as headings, where proof goes, button text, form labels, help text, error messages and confirmations. Deeper customer research, positioning, building your offer or a larger copywriting program is priced separately. Your team approves product facts, claims, terms, prices and proof.
Do wireframes use real content and cover responsive behavior?
Yes, wherever approved or realistic content is available. We test agreed long, short, missing, expired and error examples, and provide sample screens plus rules for stacking, wrapping, order, spacing, images and elements that stick to the screen. There's no standard number of screens, and the built page still needs checks at in-between widths, with larger text settings and with text reflowing to fit.
Do you design form validation, errors, confirmation and multi-step flows?
Yes, when a form is included. We can cover labels, instructions, focus, correct and incorrect entries, loading, server failure, duplicates, "are you human" tests, confirmation and recovery. We only use a multi-step form when it makes a genuinely complex set of questions clearer. The working error checks, saving progress, spam protection, data security, creating records in your CRM and sending leads to the right person stay with your builders unless added.
What accessibility work is included in design?
We can write notes on the intended page structure, reading order, keyboard and focus behavior, contrast, labels, errors, tap target sizes, text reflow, animation and alternatives, against the agreed target. A design file, design tool add-on or automated check can't prove WCAG conformance (the main web accessibility standard), certification, legal compliance or how screen readers and other assistive technology will behave, so testing of the built page and by a qualified specialist may still be needed.
How do you handle motion and reduced-motion preferences?
When we suggest animation, we state its purpose, what triggers it, how long it lasts, how it can be controlled and its likely cost to page speed, and we provide an approved calmer or still version for non-essential movement, for people who turn animation off on their device. Your builders must build and test this; a design review alone can't confirm it works in every browser or device.
How does the design account for page speed?
We set out each image or video's purpose, cropping, size, versions for different screens and loading priority, plus font licenses, backup fonts and how to stop the layout jumping. The final file compression, code, delivery, loading of outside scripts and Core Web Vitals (Google's page speed and stability scores) belong to your builders and need testing on the built page and with real visitors.
What does the accepted handover contain?
It contains the approved design version, included editable files, final copy, reusable page parts and their versions, named design settings, rules for screen sizes and interactions, images and license details, requirement notes, links to the build, known limits, build checks and next owners. The exact contents, how long you keep access and any review of the test build are written in your proposal.
Do we need Figma, and which outside costs should we expect?
We don't assume any particular design tool. Figma can help with comparing versions, notes, images and developer review, but you may need a paid plan or paid seats to use some of these features. Tool seats, premium fonts, stock or custom photos and video, paying research participants, translation, specialist reviews, building, connecting systems, hosting and ongoing optimization are separate unless your proposal lists them.
Will the built page match the design pixel for pixel?
The built page should keep the approved content order, page parts, states and visual style under the agreed conditions. An exact pixel-for-pixel match on every screen size, browser, font, language, zoom level and personal setting isn't realistic, and isn't always a good thing. Making the page adapt properly to screens, have the right structure and work for everyone can require deliberate differences.
Can the prototype or design variants prove which page will convert better?
No. A prototype review can reveal unclear content, missing states or places where buyers get stuck, and we can prepare clearly different versions for an approved test. But a design file can't split real traffic fairly, track reliably who saw what and what they did, reach a large enough sample or prove cause and effect, and we don't promise more conversions, leads or revenue.
What happens after the design handover?
Your builders build and test the page. When included, we can offer a set period for answering questions, compare an agreed test build with the design, design extra approved versions or look after reusable page parts. Building, putting the page live, analytics, sending leads to your CRM, live monitoring and CRO don't continue automatically after a design-only handover.
How long does landing-page design take and how is it priced?
We usually aim to deliver the first brief and cost plan within 3 to 5 business days once inputs are ready, realistic wireframes in weeks 1 to 2 and a visual style you can review in weeks 2 to 4. An annotated handover usually follows in weeks 4 to 6, when content, images, platform decisions and approvals are ready. Pricing depends on the included pages and versions, copywriting, forms, reusable page parts, images, review rounds, tool access, specialist input and handover support. These are planning ranges that depend on those inputs, and fees, outside costs, limits and what's not included are written down before work begins.
