Meta Advantage+ Campaign Services with Control

Use Meta's automation without losing control of your business.

We'll reply with a written proposal: the work, what we need from you and an estimated timeline.

The hidden problems

Why Meta Advantage+ campaigns underperform

Automation doesn't fix weak inputs. It can spread poor tracking, weak ads, wrong product details and unclear budget decisions faster than a person ever could.

  • Old guides use the wrong names for today's tools

Someone assumes your account qualifies for a sales, leads or app campaign setup without checking your current account, campaign goal, controls and status.

  • Automation learns from the wrong signal

The action Meta is told to chase is counted twice, arrives late, is too shallow (like a page view) or has no link to a real lead, purchase or customer value.

  • Lots of ads, but no system

Many images and videos go live without clear labels for the idea behind them, checks on usage rights, matching landing pages or a usable history of versions.

  • Your business limits are never written down

Limits on audience, locations, products, brand, budget and who to leave out are expected, but never actually written into the approved setup.

  • Product or sales facts arrive too late

Stock levels, prices, product groups, which leads were good or later sales results arrive too late to guide the campaign.

  • Meta's credited results are sold as growth

Results that Meta gives its ads credit for are presented as proof of extra sales or profit, without a fair comparison to show what the ads really caused.

Exactly what's included

What our Meta Advantage+ campaign services include

Softscotch plans and runs the Meta Advantage+ campaign type that is actually available in your account. (Advantage+ is Meta's set of automated tools that choose who sees your Facebook and Instagram ads, where they appear and which ad versions run.) Before launch, we connect your business goal, budget, approved offer, ads, the page or form people land on, your website and server tracking, and feedback on real sales or purchases. You get a checked campaign setup, a careful launch you approve and a clear first review. We never treat Meta's automation as something you can switch on and forget, or as a guarantee of results.

Eight areas of work take your account from clear ownership, an agreed goal and ready-to-use inputs to a checked launch and a first review of the quality of the leads or sales it brings.

Is it right for your account and goal?

Before launch, we check which Advantage+ campaign type your live account offers, the campaign objective, conversion location (where the action happens), performance goal (what Meta tries to get most of), your account's status and the business result that really matters to you.

Website, server and sales tracking

We define what each tracked action is called, the details sent with it, the IDs that link records, consent decisions, how duplicates are removed, timing and feedback from your CRM or store, then test sample records.

Product catalog, app or lead form setup

We check the products, product groups, app actions, lead form or CRM handover your campaign needs, and name who fixes anything that fails.

{}

Your set of ads and their versions

We plan approved ideas, opening messages, proof, offers, formats, versions, usage rights, landing pages and limits on what Meta's automatic edits may change.

Audience, placements and firm limits

We keep Meta's suggestions and automatic audience widening separate from your firm limits on locations, people to leave out, products, brand, budget and approvals.

Launch checks and monitoring

We check the setup and budget, name who watches the campaign, and agree rules for pausing, undoing, changing and handling surprises before anything is switched on.

Quality review and next step

We compare how ads were delivered with the quality of the sales or orders that followed, run a controlled test only where it's practical and agree the next budget or campaign step.

“

Account ownership and access

We check that your business owns the Meta ad account, Facebook Page, pixel (tracking code), product catalog and payment method. We give our team and yours only the access each person needs and record who can change what.

Why Softscotch

Why we keep automation tied to what your business earns

We review campaign settings, ads, tracking, sales feedback, spending and approvals together, rather than one at a time.

We check your account as it is today

Feature names, what you qualify for and the controls available come from your live account and dated Meta guidance, not from old playbooks.

Your tracking adds up

Website, server, Meta and sales records all use clear meanings and shared IDs, so the numbers match.

You still learn from your ads

Labels for each ad idea and version stay usable across placements and the extra versions Meta creates automatically.

Firm limits stay firm

The rules your business must keep are clearly separated from Meta's suggestions and automatic audience widening.

A person still approves what goes live

Budgets, claims, ads, big changes, pauses and undoing changes all need approval from a named person.

Spending grows only when results are real

Cheap clicks and easy actions are checked against lead quality, profit margin, refunds and what tests can and can't prove.

Campaign details

The 36 decisions behind a campaign you can trust

The work covers whether your account is a good fit, tracking, product or lead inputs, your ads, limits on automation, checks before going live and who looks after things afterwards.

Fit, access and business limits
Is Advantage+ right for you, and who owns whatConfirm which Advantage+ campaign type is available to you, the business reason to use it, the work Softscotch owns and the decisions you keep.
Your business goal and campaign typeChoose the campaign objective, conversion location (where the action happens) and performance goal based on the customer action your business can actually measure and handle.
Account, billing and accessCheck the ad account, your linked Pages and accounts, billing, website domains, tracking data sources, product catalog or app connections, permissions and the named owner of each.
Cost, value and how much you can handleWrite down the budget, what a good lead or purchase is worth, profit margin, refunds, how long sales take to close, and how many orders or leads your business can actually fulfill or follow up.
Claims, usage rights and privacy decisionsList approved claims and ads, permissions to use audience data, privacy choices, risks from Meta's restricted ad categories and any specialist review you need.
Rules for spending, launching and pausingSet starting budgets, who can approve, how the campaign is watched, limits on big changes, emergency pauses and how to go back to the last approved setup.
Tracking and business feedback
What your account offers todayWrite down the campaign types, status, settings and controls your live account actually offers, with a review date, instead of relying on an old playbook.
Campaign objective and performance goalLine up the objective, conversion location and performance goal with the customer action you approved and the page, form or app people land on.
Website and server tracking planDefine each tracked action's name, the details sent with it, the IDs used, timing, values, consent decisions and whether it's used for bidding or only for reporting.
Stopping double-counted actionsWhen your Pixel (website code) and Conversions API (a direct link from your server to Meta) both report the same action, we test that matching names and IDs let Meta count it once, and check for missing, late, rejected and duplicate records.
Product, app and lead inputs
Feedback from your CRM and salesSend approved later results back to Meta, such as accepted leads, sales opportunities and closed sales, using clear definitions and stable IDs where available.
Checking the quality of leads and salesCompare the actions Meta reports with valid leads, purchases, profit margin, refunds or later customer stages, without claiming that Meta's credit proves the ads caused them.
Product catalog readinessCheck product IDs, stock, prices, links, images, product groups and Meta's error reports before a catalog campaign (ads built from your product list) uses them.
Product groups and exclusionsWrite down which products are included or left out, rules for each market, how often the product feed updates, rejected items and who fixes the feed.
Audiences and ad inputs
Where audiences come from, and permissionRecord each audience or starting list, its approved purpose, when it's refreshed or deleted, and how Meta may use it as a suggestion rather than a strict rule.
Limits on Advantage+ automationShow which audience, placement, budget and ad choices Meta may widen or pick for you, and which of your own business limits stay firm.
Ads ready for every placementPrepare clear, complete ads for each approved placement and check the safe area for text, cropping, sound, captions and buttons.
Labels for ad ideas and versionsLabel each ad with the customer problem, idea, opening message, proof, offer, format, usage rights, landing page and approved version.
Ads, budget and launch checks
Your approved set of adsPlan enough different ideas and formats for your budget, while keeping proof, usage rights, brand rules and original files easy to review.
Reviewing Meta's automatic ad editsPreview the automatic changes Meta offers to images, text, music and other parts of your ads (Advantage+ creative), and record which ones you accept or turn off.
Budget, bid and schedule controlsSet the starting spend, bidding choice, schedule, how spending pace is reviewed, limits on changes and who approves any increase.
Offer and landing page matchKeep the audience, promise, proof, price, terms and next step the same across the ad, the form, the landing page and the thank-you message.
Testing and improvement
Learning phase and ad fatigue checksBefore changing the campaign, work out whether the cause is weak tracking, delivery split too thinly, an audience that has seen the ads too often, tired ads or a landing page problem.
Giving Meta a better result to aim forUse steady sales or order feedback to decide whether the action Meta is chasing is close enough to the business result you really want.
One test, one decisionTest an ad idea, offer or setting only when the question, what it's compared with, the budget, the number of people reached and when to stop all make the result believable.
Making campaign changes safelyCheck whether an edit would remove the campaign's Advantage+ status, restart Meta's learning phase, change what you qualify for or break a firm limit before it goes live.
Customer quality and growth
Leaving out existing customersKeep current customers, past buyers or app users out of campaigns aimed at new customers, where your strategy, your customer data and Meta's current controls allow it.
Limits on using sale and lead valuesAsk Meta to aim for higher-value purchases or leads only where the definitions, IDs, timing and number of results are reliable enough for that campaign decision.
Lead forms and your team's capacityLine up form questions, CRM fields, where leads are sent, who replies and how many leads your sales team can handle before asking automation to find more.
App actions and customer stagesLink the app action Meta aims for to the later stages your business really values, such as people actively using the app, buying or staying.
Catalog errors and product problemsSend rejected items, out-of-date prices, missing images and product group errors to a named person before they throw off delivery.
Ownership, changes and recovery
Brand limits for automatic changesState which words, images, crops, music, formats and claims Meta may change automatically, and what always needs your approval.
Splitting or combining campaignsKeep campaigns separate only where the market, budget, offer, audience, product or the way you measure results really needs the split; otherwise combine them so Meta has more to learn from.
Record of changes, pauses and undo stepsLink every important edit to a date, a reason, who approved it, how long it's watched, an emergency pause and the last setup that worked.
Rules for tests and holdout groupsUse a holdout (a group kept from seeing the ads) only when you qualify, there are enough people and budget, the groups won't mix and the answer is worth having.
Credited results versus extra salesReport the results Meta gives its ads credit for separately from any properly sized test showing the campaign added sales, profit or another result.
Research and implementation tools

Your live Meta ad account decides which Advantage+ options you get

Meta's features, who qualifies for them, the controls you get and the tools that connect to them change over time. We check them in your current account before they go into the plan.

What we check

Seven checks before and after your Advantage+ launch

Each check ends with a clear finding, the fix needed, a named person who owns it and the date of the next check.

Check 01 · Account fit and goal

Is your account and business ready?

We confirm which Advantage+ campaign type is available, the customer action it should support and the people who can approve spending and live changes.

You get a signed launch brief with the chosen campaign type, costs, who is responsible for what, the limits and anything still waiting on others.

Campaign type available startCheck the live account for the sales, leads or app campaign setup you qualify for, plus its objective, conversion location, performance goal and current status.
The result you want inputDefine the useful lead, purchase, sign-up or other customer action, and keep later sales and profit stages separate from it.
Access and billing structureConfirm the ad account, linked Pages and accounts, billing, website domains, tracking data sources and any product catalog, app or lead form connections.
Budget and capacity go liveWrite down the starting spend, the money assumptions, how many orders or sales calls you can handle, and who owns budget changes.
Your approvals controlName who approves claims, usage rights, privacy choices, audiences, ads, firm limits and switching the campaign on.
Go or no-go resultGo ahead only when the campaign type available, the inputs, the budget and your team's capacity can support the business goal you set.
Check 02 · Tracking and feedback

Website tracking, server tracking and real business results

We check what Meta receives, how duplicate actions are handled and which sales or purchase results can be sent back to guide later decisions.

A result Meta counts, an accepted lead, a sale and proof that the ads caused extra sales are four different things, and we keep them apart.

What each action means startList each website, server, Meta and later-stage action with what it means for your business, where it comes from, when it's sent and what it's used for.
IDs that link records inputCheck the event names, event IDs and other approved IDs needed to match records and avoid counting the same action twice.
Consent choices structureRecord your decisions on consent, privacy, how long data is kept and how audiences are used, plus any specialist advice you need.
Sample tests go liveBefore launch, test what happens with accepted, duplicate, missing, late and rejected records, and when someone changes their consent.
Sales or order feedback controlConfirm which accepted leads, purchases, values, refunds or later stages can be sent back to Meta with clear, stable definitions.
Known limits resultWrite down gaps in matching, reporting delays, attribution settings (how Meta decides which ad gets credit) and what the available data can't prove.
Check 03 · Business inputs the campaign needs

Is your product catalog, app or lead form ready?

We check the exact products, app actions, form fields or CRM handover the chosen campaign depends on.

Your proposal names any repair, connection or data work needed. It isn't quietly added to campaign management.

Where people are sent startConfirm whether the campaign uses a product catalog, an app, a lead form, your website, a message chat or another approved destination.
Accurate product or app details inputCheck product IDs, stock, prices, links, images, product groups or what each app action means, where these apply.
Lead form and CRM fields structureLine up form questions, privacy information, IDs, CRM fields, where leads are sent and who replies, where these apply.
What happens when things fail go liveTest rejected products, out-of-date prices, missing app actions, bad form entries, duplicate leads and broken handovers.
Who fixes what controlAssign each catalog, app, form, tracking and CRM problem either to the included work or to a named person outside it.
Ready or not resultDon't switch the campaign on until the inputs it needs work well enough for the approved campaign and the measurement plan.
Check 04 · Ads and landing pages

Approved ideas, formats and automatic edits

We build a set of ads you can review, which fits the offer, the placements, your usage rights, the landing page and the limits you set on automation.

Your proposal states the included ad ideas, resized versions and rounds of changes. More files don't automatically mean you learn more.

Ad ideas startGive each idea a clear customer problem, opening message, offer, proof point and the next step you expect people to take.
Claims and usage rights inputCheck facts, customer quotes, images, music, trademarks, required notices and usage rights with the person on your side who owns them.
Formats for each placement structurePrepare clear, complete versions of each ad for the approved Feeds, Stories, Reels and other live placements.
Version labels go liveLabel the idea, message, proof, offer, format, placement, original file, landing page and approved version of every ad.
Automatic edits controlPreview the crops, text, images, music and other automatic improvements Meta offers, and record which ones are allowed or turned off.
Landing page match resultConfirm the page, form or app carries on with the same promise, proof, price, terms and next step as the ad.
Check 05 · Audience and controls

Suggestions, placements and firm limits

We make it clear what Meta may widen or choose for you, and which business rules must stay fixed.

We check how your account behaves before launch, because the controls available and a campaign's Advantage+ status can change.

Where audiences come from startRecord each customer list, starting audience, website, app or engagement source, its approved purpose and how often it's refreshed.
Firm exclusions inputConfirm the locations, ages where relevant, customers, past buyers, products and other groups you require to be left out.
Choosing placements structureCompare automatic and manual placement options against your ad formats, brand needs, landing page and how much risk you're comfortable with.
Budget controls go liveSet starting budgets, bidding choice, schedule, how spending pace is reviewed and who can approve increases or moving money between campaigns.
How it actually behaves controlSave a record of the live setup and its status after the audience, placement, budget and other control decisions are applied.
When something unexpected happens resultName who responds when ads reach more people than expected, a control changes or a group you left out starts seeing ads.
Check 06 · Launch and monitoring

Checks before launch, and a switch-on you approve

We test the approved campaign from start to finish and agree who monitors it before it spends any of your money.

Passing our checks doesn't replace Meta's own ad review or your final approval to switch the campaign on.

Account and ad rules startReview current account restrictions, warnings, claims, required notices, who is shown as paying for the ads and any risks on the landing page.
Ad previews inputLook at every approved ad version and automatic edit in each placement where it's meant to run.
Links and inputs structureOpen landing pages and privacy links, and test forms, product links, app links and any other inputs the campaign needs.
Tracking and handover go liveCheck sample website, server and later-stage actions, how duplicates are handled and the feedback from your CRM or orders.
Budget and settings controlCheck again the objective, schedule, markets, people left out, placements, automation, budgets and spending limits.
Who says go resultRecord the approved version, who approved it, when it was switched on, who monitors it and how to pause it in an emergency.
Check 07 · Quality and next step

Delivery, real business quality and whether to spend more

We compare how Meta delivered your ads with real sales or order evidence before changing the budget, the ads or the automation.

Meta's credited results (attribution) can support a decision, but on their own they don't prove the campaign caused extra sales or profit.

How ads were delivered startReport spend, reach (people who saw your ads), impressions (times ads were shown), clicks and the results Meta credits to ads, with the dates and attribution setting used.
Tracking health inputShow missing, duplicate, late or rejected actions, plus any important change in the quality of your tracking.
What we learned from the ads structureCompare the main ad ideas and versions, without giving credit to automatic variations that can't be reliably identified.
Real business quality go liveUse accepted leads, purchases, value, profit margin, refunds or later stages only where the definitions and record matching are good enough to use.
Proof from tests controlKeep everyday campaign changes separate from a proper, large enough test that you qualify for and that is designed to estimate the extra sales ads cause.
Next step resultChoose the next budget, ad, audience, input or tracking step, and say what the evidence can't show and whose approval is needed.

What to expect

From account check to your first quality review

A simple first launch usually takes about 5 to 10 business days once we have access, billing, budget, your offer, ads, the landing page, tracking and any product catalog, app, form or CRM inputs it needs. Meta's ad review, account restrictions, making new ads and connecting systems can add time. A useful review comes once the ads have run long enough and sales feedback has come in, not on a promised date.

How we compare

Useful automation, not autopilot

We keep five things separate: what your account qualifies for, the inputs from your business, the automation you approve, how ads are delivered live and the real quality of the leads and sales that follow.

The risk of using a different agency for everything
  • Treats Advantage+ as one fixed product
  • Assumes your account qualifies
  • Aims for the easiest action Meta can count
  • Starts before product or lead inputs are ready
  • Uploads ads without useful version labels
  • Accepts every automatic ad edit
  • Treats Meta's suggestions as firm limits
  • Changes the budget and the ads at the same time
  • Spends more based only on Meta's reported cost per result
  • Promises results with no effort needed
vs
Softscotch
  • Checks the campaign type your account offers today
  • Records what you qualify for, your status and controls
  • Tests website, server and real business results
  • Checks product catalog, app, form or CRM inputs
  • Keeps every ad idea and version traceable

Ethical, transparent, always on

One accountable team, strictly white-hat (only methods search engines and platforms allow), no shortcuts and no surprises. Support whenever you need it.

One plan, full-stack access

One Softscotch plan gives you access to the full service stack, coordinated around your priorities.

You do not need a separate agency or retainer for every channel. Your plan can draw from search, paid media, web, ecommerce, outreach, automation, lead generation, messaging, content, creative and operations. The agreed scope sets what is active, in what order and at what capacity.

Pricing approach

One price for everything, not a stack of separate retainers.

You get one price for your whole marketing, not a separate retainer for every service. SEO, paid ads, your website, automations, cold email and newsletters, we run all of it as a single scope, so you get the most result for what you pay. Agencies sell each of these on its own, so the invoice climbs whether or not that line drives a single lead.

Bought separately, service by service

A different agency or retainer for each service. The bill stacks up fast, and keeps climbing whether or not each one moves a single lead.

All of it, one scope

We run your whole marketing as one engagement, so you get the most result for what you pay, not a pile of disconnected invoices.

Meta Advantage+ campaign services FAQs

These answers explain which campaign type fits you, the inputs, ads, controls, costs, timing, measurement and who is responsible for what.

Filter
What is included in Softscotch Meta Advantage+ campaign services?

Your proposal can include checking your account is a good fit, account ownership and access, goal and budget planning, any product catalog, app or lead inputs the campaign needs, ad versions, audience and placement decisions, approved automation, launch checks, running the campaign and reports on lead and sale quality. It names the exact campaign type, ads, connected systems and ongoing work.

When does Advantage+ make sense?

It makes sense when your current account offers an Advantage+ campaign type you qualify for, and your business can provide a clear customer action, working tracking, enough approved ads, the product or lead inputs needed and clear decisions about budget and controls.

What access do you need?

We need access to the relevant ad account and linked Pages and accounts, Events Manager (where Meta shows your tracking) and any product catalog, app, form or CRM views named in the scope. Billing, spending and permission to make live changes are approved separately.

Is Advantage+ one fully automated campaign product?

No. Meta uses the Advantage+ name for several things: whole campaigns that automate many settings at once, and single automated options such as Advantage+ audience, placements and creative. We check which campaign type your current account offers and record which settings Meta may choose or widen for you.

Do I need both the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API?

Meta recommends using both, but it isn't automatic for every business. The Pixel is code on your website; the Conversions API sends the same actions straight from your server. We look at your customer journey, current tracking, consent decisions and setup options, then scope only the website and server work that is justified. New setup work is separate unless listed in your proposal.

How do you stop website and server actions being counted twice?

Where both send the same action, we test that the event names and IDs match so Meta can count it once, and we check Meta's diagnostics. We also keep missing, late and rejected actions visible.

What product catalog, app or lead inputs do I need?

Only what the chosen campaign type needs. We check the relevant products or product groups, app actions, form fields or CRM handover, and name any repair work before launch.

What ad creation work is included?

Your proposal states the included ad ideas, formats, resized versions and rounds of changes. We label approved versions and review the automatic edits Meta offers. Making brand-new ads, actors or presenters, stock images, music and extra versions are separate unless listed in your proposal.

Do you turn on every automated setting?

No. We write down what Meta may choose, create or widen, which business limits stay firm and who can approve, pause or undo an important change.

Can you guarantee Meta will approve my ads?

No. We review current account warnings and the policy risks that apply to you, and can fix the issues we're able to, but Meta makes its own review and enforcement decisions and its rules can change.

Who makes the audience and privacy decisions?

You do. You own the lawful reasons for using data, permissions, consent, what you tell customers, how long data is kept, who is left out and any legal decisions. Softscotch only sets up the campaign and data connections you approve.

How do you connect Meta's results to real business quality?

Where the data is usable, we compare the actions Meta counts with accepted leads, purchases, value, profit margin, refunds or later stages, using agreed definitions, IDs and date ranges.

Do the results Meta credits to my ads prove extra sales?

No. Attribution gives ads credit based on Meta's settings. Estimating the extra sales ads really caused needs a fair, large enough comparison test, and even then there is some uncertainty.

Will you change my live account while you review it?

Only with your clear permission to spend and to make changes. Any important change to setup, budget, audience, ads, controls or tracking is dated, monitored and given a way to pause or undo it.

What costs are not included in your fee?

Ad spend, extra ad production, actors or presenters, stock images, product catalog or feed tools, landing pages, app work, tracking setup, CRM work, data services, testing tools and specialist reviews are separate unless listed in your proposal.

Can you guarantee leads, sales or ROAS (return on ad spend)?

No. Softscotch is responsible for the agreed setup, running the campaign, the checks and the reports. Ad auctions, competitors, demand, your offer, your landing page, data quality, your sales follow-up and your ability to deliver also affect results.

How soon can the first campaign launch?

A simple first approved launch usually takes about 5 to 10 business days once access, billing, budget, your offer, ads, landing page, tracking and any other required inputs are ready. Meta's ad review, account restrictions, making new ads and connecting systems can add time.

How much do Meta Advantage+ campaign services cost?

The price depends on the real number of markets, the campaign type, ads, product or lead inputs, tracking, CRM feedback, testing, reporting and management work involved. Your proposal states the work and any outside costs before anything is switched on.
