Content SEO & E-E-A-T

Turn real expertise into content customers can trust and use.

We'll reply with a written proposal: the work, what we need from you and an estimated timeline.

The hidden content problems

Publishing more can't fix content that has no owner, no proof and no upkeep.

Content ends up written for search engines instead of people when the publishing calendar, competitor gaps and output targets come before the customer's real decision and the true facts. We first agree what each piece of content is actually for.

  • The calendar becomes the strategy

Teams commit to posting a set number of articles before deciding who the content is for, what job it does, what proof they can get or what business result it should support.

  • Copying competitor gaps creates copycat pages

Missing keywords and headings are copied into briefs, even when the business has no original insight, nothing useful to offer on the topic or any reason to keep the page up to date.

  • E-E-A-T becomes decoration

Author names, bios, badges and hidden page labels (schema) are added without real expertise, anyone responsible for review, clear methods, sources or someone in charge of fixing mistakes.

  • AI multiplies mistakes and sameness

Automatic drafts turn shaky sources into confident claims and create pages faster than people can check that they are original, useful, allowed to use the material and consistent with the facts.

  • Content has no plan for its whole life

Dates change, facts go out of date, products change and similar pages overlap, but nobody is in charge of deciding to properly update, merge, archive or remove them.

  • Traffic is mistaken for value

Number of posts, impressions and visits are celebrated without asking if the content helped anyone, supported a purchase, brought good-quality leads, what it cost to run or what the numbers can't prove.

Scope

What our Content SEO and E-E-A-T services cover.

Softscotch builds your set of content around the real decisions your customers make, proof from your business and a named person in charge of each page. We bring together search research, input from your experts, your own original findings, checks on sources and permission to use material, content everyone can read, links between your pages, real updates and tracking of good-quality leads. We never sell E-E-A-T (Google's idea of experience, expertise, authority and trust) as a score, and we never use AI to churn out copycat pages.

The first eight cards describe this service. Your proposal picks the topics, pages, research, writing, approvals, team training and how often work is delivered. The last two cards are related services with their own separate scope.

Your content, your audience and one main page per topic

We list your existing pages, define the real tasks your customers are trying to do and give each topic and type of page one responsible main page (the canonical page).

Searches, gaps and what to work on

We keep track of where search data came from and which searches are unclear, look at what Google currently shows, and decide whether to create, improve, merge or hold off on each page based on value and proof.

Experts, customer proof and original research

We plan interviews, demonstrations, analysis of your own data and ways of handling sources that produce useful, believable content no competitor can simply copy.

Site structure, briefs and writing

We plan useful types of pages, how topics relate to each other, links between your pages, briefs backed by sources and content everyone can use, each with a clear next step for the reader.

Authors, claims, permissions and AI safeguards

We make clear who wrote each page, how and why, add extra review for high-stakes topics, check sources and permissions, run AI checks and keep a way to stop mass-produced content quickly.

#1

Publishing, sharing and checks that it works

We publish the chosen pages, add Article and business labels (structured data) where they apply, relevant links, images and video that work on every screen and approved sharing on your own channels or through press and mentions you earn.

Measurement, updates and rules for upkeep

We keep search, usefulness, business and running-cost numbers separate, and set alerts for changed facts, conflicting pages, expired permissions, shifts in what people search for and changes in performance.

Style guide and training for your team

We write down your tone of voice, the words to use and avoid, and the steps for briefing, reviewing and approving content. Then we walk your team through them, so your own writers and experts can keep the quality steady.

Why Softscotch

We connect what people search for with real expertise and a clear editing process with named owners.

Every page keeps a record of the reader's task, the main page that owns the topic, its sources, expert input, permission to use material, review status, a check that it works on the live site, its role in your results and what should trigger an update.

Customer decisions, not topic counts

We only create or improve a page when it has its own useful job, honest value and someone who can keep it up to date.

Real experts take part; we don't fake them

Real practitioners and the people who own the facts answer set questions, review important claims and approve how they are presented.

Original proof comes with a method

Research, examples, data and demonstrations keep their sources, permissions, limits and a clear way to be updated by someone responsible.

AI is a helper with limits

Automation can help with limited tasks, but people check the facts, sources, originality, privacy, disclosure and whether the content is useful to readers.

E-E-A-T is a quality idea, not a score

We build trust through honest responsibility, real experience, expertise and proof, without claiming a score, a ranking switch or a guaranteed result from hidden page labels.

Costs include upkeep

We report how useful content is and its effect on good-quality leads, alongside the cost to produce it, the review effort, old content that needs fixing (content debt) and the updates you'll need to make.

Basic to advanced

Everything behind a useful set of content you can stand behind.

These 36 parts cover strategy, proof, site structure, writing, safety checks, testing, cost and rules for upkeep. Research, large-scale publishing and AI are only used when the inputs and checks make them safe and worthwhile.

Strategy, search demand and starting point
Tracking changes in search meaningTrack when what a search means, the type of result Google shows or the buyer's stage changes, so the right page keeps answering the search as it is today.
Your content and where results startWrite down your audiences, the useful tasks they need help with, current pages, business priorities, limits and which good-quality results each page should support.
Audience, buying stage and task planTurn customer evidence into clear jobs: learning about a topic, comparing options, putting something into practice and making a decision.
List of pages and one main page per topicGive every chosen page a purpose, a person responsible, a preferred main page and a stage in its life (new, current, merging or retiring).
Gaps in customer decisionsFind customer decisions nobody answers well and missing original proof, instead of counting keywords your competitors use and you don't.
Picking the best page and search opportunitiesDecide whether to create, improve, merge or hold off, based on search demand, the chance of clicks, value, proof, cost and risk.
Information and inputs
How sure we are about search groupsKeep visible where search data came from, how searches were grouped, what search results showed and which cases are unclear, instead of trusting a tool's automatic grouping as fact.
Gathering customer language and source proofUse sales, support, interview, search and documentation material you allow us to use, while protecting privacy and keeping the context.
How experts contribute and reviewCollect input from named practitioners, check important claims and send the page through the right review before it goes live.
Claims, sources and citations listTrace statistics, comparisons, quotes, product facts and dates back to saved original sources and approvals.
Site structure and setup
Map of topics and how they connectMatch the things, features, decisions and follow-up questions in a topic to the right page, without repeating keyword-stuffed sections.
Site structure and page typesChoose the smallest useful page for the job: a service, product, guide, comparison, proof, research, FAQ or tool page.
Briefs backed by proofSpell out the reader's task, the facts needed, original inputs, sources, banned claims, accessibility, links and how we'll check the page is done right.
Links between pages and sharing planLink pages to related reading, proof and sales next steps, and share them through your own channels or through press and mentions you earn, once approved.
Making the changes
Original research and proof from your own businessCreate believable studies, analyses, demonstrations, tools or examples, with a clear method, permission to use them and stated limits.
Writing and media everyone can useBuild clear, well-structured, easy-to-read content with licensed images, text descriptions for images, captions, transcripts and parts of the page that work for everyone.
Authors, review and being open about who, how and whyShow the real people who contributed, the methods used, any disclosures and accurate dates for when the page was published or meaningfully updated.
Publishing and checking it worksCheck the approved copy, sources, links, images and video, hidden labels, accessibility, tracking and how it looks on every screen size, on the live site.
Safety checks
Finding pages that contradict each otherFind pages that disagree on facts, definitions or which search they are meant to answer, before merging them or adding more on the topic.
Extra care for high-stakes and regulated topicsApply the right expert, legal, local-law, source, expiry and correction rules to topics that can affect someone's health, money or safety (Google calls these YMYL: "your money or your life").
Permission, licenses and where material came fromKeep proof of permission, credit, which countries and for how long you can use it, and how to take it down, for material from other companies, customers and creators.
Safeguards for AI help and mass-produced contentRequire unique value, checked sources, human approval, spot checks, privacy controls and a way to stop publishing immediately.
Testing and improving
Updates that add something newImprove pages with new proof, examples and decisions, rather than just changing the date or the word count.
Testing how AI tools quote your contentTest whether facts pulled out of your page by search or AI tools keep the right business name, source, conditions, date and limits, without promising you will be quoted.
Fair tests on groups of pagesCompare similar groups of pages, agreed in advance with safety limits, only when there is enough traffic, the risk is low and the change can be isolated well enough to read the results.
Alerts for aging content and expired factsSpot important changes in products, proof, laws, permissions, links, customer questions and what people mean by a search.
Measuring results and value
From search to business resultsKeep Search Console data, how people behave on your site, completed actions and good-quality leads or sales that follow, separate from each other.
Signs the content is usefulMeasure reading and whether people finish their task, how they move around the site, tool use, customer feedback and actions the content helped with, where these numbers are reliable.
Value and cost of your contentCompare how much your content helps in search and supports your business with what it costs in research, writing, expert review, sharing and upkeep.
How content helps along the buying journeyRecord the visits to content that we can track across longer buying decisions, without giving all the credit to one article or the last thing someone clicked.
Editing quality and corrections reportTrack how well sources are covered, accessibility, permissions, mistakes, review rounds, corrections and problems that keep coming back.
Rules, upkeep and scaling up
Merging, trimming and archiving old contentChoose to improve, merge, redirect, archive, hide from search (noindex) or remove a page, weighing up its purpose, proof, legal record-keeping needs and the paths customers use.
Editing owners and decision logName owners for facts, editing, legal, technical work and results, and keep a record of research, approvals, changes that went live and next steps.
Record of AI use, disclosure and sourcesWrite down the approved AI tools, which inputs are off-limits, who is responsible, source checks and decisions on whether to tell readers how content was made.
Upkeep response timesAgree how much is reviewed, how serious each issue is, how fast we respond and who it goes to next for outdated facts, conflicting pages, permission problems, mistakes and changing search meaning.
Handling corrections, problems and takedown requestsSend serious factual errors, unsafe advice, privacy or permission complaints and broken links or paths to named owners.
Research and editing tools

Each source answers a different question about your content.

Search results, Google Search Console (Google's free report on how your site appears in search), customer research, source records, lists of your existing pages, expert review, accessibility tests (checks that everyone, including people with disabilities, can use the page), hidden page labels (structured data) and analytics each keep their own meaning and limits.

Look inside the editing process

Seven checks connect search demand, proof, writing and upkeep.

Each check gives you decisions for each page and for your content as a whole, who owns each source, a check that the work is right when it goes live and a clear trigger for future work. Rankings, special search features and mentions in AI answers are decided by Google and AI tools, not by any agency.

Check 01 · Map your content

Audience, purpose, page list and ownership

We map what you already have, who each page helps and which page owns each separate customer decision.

A publishing target is not a content strategy. New writing starts only after each page's useful role, the proof it needs and who will keep it up to date are clear.

Audience audienceThe real reader, their situation, what's at stake for them and their buying stage defined.
Task taskThe reader's job (learning, comparing, putting into practice or deciding) recorded.
Page list listWeb addresses, page types, authors, dates, main-page settings and results collected.
Ownership ownOne preferred page given to each separate customer job.
Life stage decideKeep, improve, merge, archive or retire suggested for each page.
Results measureHow each page helps readers and how it supports good-quality leads defined separately.
Check 02 · Confirm demand and value

Searches, what Google shows, gaps and opportunities

We keep the source of each search, any unclear meaning and dated snapshots of search results attached to every decision to create or improve a page.

A competitor's heading or a missing keyword isn't automatically something your customers need. Search results are snapshots in time and don't prove why a page ranks.

Search data sources sourceSearch Console, research tools and your own customers' words kept separate.
How sure we are groupHow searches were grouped, unclear meanings and cases with little proof kept on record.
What Google shows observeResult types, meanings and special features recorded by date and market.
Decision gaps gapCustomer needs nobody answers well, and missing proof, found.
Options optionCreate, improve, merge, link, hold off or leave out compared side by side.
Priority prioritizeValue, chance of clicks, originality, cost and risk weighed and approved.
Check 03 · Gather the proof

Experts, customer research, sources and original methods

We plan how real expertise and business proof get into each page, without made-up authority or claims nobody can back up.

An interview, a citation or your own data doesn't make every conclusion reliable. We keep the method, permissions, limits and the right reviewers in plain view.

Customer proof listenQuestions, doubts and wording customers use, which we're allowed to use, captured with context.
Experts expertReal practitioners, their roles, the questions to ask and what they will review agreed.
Sources sourceOriginal sources, citations, the dates they apply from and their owners recorded.
Research method methodThe question, who or what was studied, the process, analysis and limits written down.
Permissions rightsPermissions, licenses, credit, signed releases and takedown status checked.
Claims verifyImportant statements checked and approved before writing starts.
Check 04 · Plan the pages

Site structure, page types, briefs and links between pages

We give each customer task the smallest useful page, and set out the proof, layout, links and reader's next step before writing starts.

Not every topic needs a blog post, a giant "pillar" page or a separate page. Splitting topics too much creates thin, overlapping pages; merging too much hides separate customer decisions.

Page type formatService, product, guide, comparison, proof, tool or research page chosen.
Topic map modelThings, features and follow-up decisions given to the right page.
Brief briefPurpose, sources, original inputs, what's left out and how we'll check it written down.
Links between pages linkLinks to related reading, proof and sales next steps mapped.
Sharing shareWays to share on your own channels or through earned mentions chosen because the content is truly useful.
Next step actA task or way to get in touch that suits the reader's buying stage defined.
Check 05 · Control the writing

Authors, AI help, editing checks and review for high-stakes topics

Where readers need to know, we make it clear who created the page, how it was made and who signed off on its risks.

AI can help with limited research or drafting, but Google says using it gives no ranking boost. Mass-produced, unoriginal content can break Google's spam rules no matter how it was made.

Human owner ownResponsible writer, editor, expert and approver named.
AI use recordApproved tool, inputs, task, source checks and whether to tell readers recorded.
Originality stand outWhat the page adds that others don't, and the risk of being too similar, reviewed.
High-stakes topics protectWhat's at stake, local laws, and expert and legal requirements applied.
Accessibility accessHeadings, images, tables, labels and reading order tested so everyone can use the page.
Gate before scaling up gateQuality spot-checks, a limit on errors, a stop button and a way to undo ready.
Check 06 · Publish and connect

Publishing, hidden labels, checks on every screen and sharing

We check the approved page on the live site and connect it to the right customer, search and own-channel paths.

Correct Article labels (schema), an author date or a sharing campaign do not guarantee a special search feature, a link from another site, a mention in AI answers or a ranking.

Live copy publishApproved facts, citations, headings and disclosures match what's live.
Authors and dates creditContributors shown and dates of real changes stay accurate.
Hidden page labels labelsAuthor, date, image and business details in the structured data match the page.
Images and video on every screen mediaPermissions, image descriptions, layout, captions and transcripts pass.
Links and actions connectLinks Google can follow, where they lead, lead checks and consent tested.
Sharing go liveHow content is shared on your channels, through earned mentions, paid promotion and sponsorships approved.
Check 07 · Measure and maintain

Search, usefulness, business value and the life of your content

We report what went live, how people found and used it, what it helped with and what it costs to keep it trustworthy.

Search Console leaves out some searches (for privacy) and groups much of its data under the main version of each page. Clicks, analytics visits, actions the content helped with and good-quality leads are each counted differently.

Production deliverStatus of the brief, proof, review, publishing and checks reported.
Search searchWhether pages can appear, search demand for each page and search snapshots kept apart.
Usefulness useWhat counts as reading, moving around the site, tool use and finishing a task defined.
Business qualifyCompleted actions, actions content helped with and good-quality leads labeled.
Costs costThe cost of research, writing, review, sharing and ongoing upkeep tracked.
Life stage maintainAlerts for changed facts, permissions, conflicting pages, search meaning, performance and policy have owners.
What changes

From a blog calendar to a well-run set of content backed by proof.

Before

A calendar drives keyword-led pages with generic briefs, shaky sources and nobody in charge of updating them.

  • Lots of topics, no clear purposePublishing targets come before reader tasks, a main page for each topic and useful results.
  • Fake authorityWriters add bios, citations and confident claims without access to experts, a clear method or rules for checking sources.
  • Reports that only show trafficImpressions and visits ignore whether content helped anyone, good-quality leads, review costs and old content that needs fixing.
Changes

Your most important pages have a clear customer job, proof you can stand behind, approved writing and a record showing they were checked on the live site.

  • Content with ownersEvery chosen page has a purpose, a page owner, a page type and a decision about its life stage.
  • Writing backed by proofExperts, sources, claims, permissions, methods, AI use and approvals can all be traced.
  • Results in layersSearch, usefulness, business support and running costs each keep their own meaning.
After

Changes to facts, products, permissions, customer questions, search meaning and performance go into a working to-do list for your editors.

  • Updates that matterNew proof or changed customer decisions trigger work, instead of surface-level date and length changes.
  • Control of conflicts and life stageOverlapping pages, contradictions, expired pages and risks reach the people responsible for them.
  • Growth with limitsAutomation grows only when each page has unique source value, human review, quality checks and a way to switch it off.
What's at stake in your field

Content work changes with the topic, the risk to your customers and how much proof is needed.

Healthcare, finance, software, online stores, legal, education and publishing each need different experts, approvals, dates, images and video, hidden page labels and ways to correct mistakes.

Healthcare

  • Approve high-risk choices about publishing, merging, removing pages and using automation
How it fits together

Nine connected layers keep content useful after it goes live.

A product change, a new law, an expired permission or a shift in what people mean by a search can affect many pages at once. Shared records let the right pages be updated without rewriting everything.

The connected growth engine

On-page and Technical SEO

Work on individual pages, how Google reads your site (crawling and rendering), main-page settings, speed and site moves all support the overall structure of your content.

Subject experts and product owners

Real experience, methods, specifications, limits and responsibility for review create value you can stand behind.

Legal, compliance and permissions

High-stakes claims, privacy, licenses, signed releases, disclosures and takedowns need the right level of control.

Design, accessibility and media

Well-built page parts, diagrams, video, tables, image descriptions and easy reading on mobile turn proof into content people can use.

Analytics, CRM and online store

Search numbers can only be linked to content tasks, the paths content helped with and good-quality leads when the tracking supports it.

Digital PR and your own channels

Real research and useful pages can be promoted through relevant channels, but links, mentions in AI answers and press coverage can't be guaranteed.

One connected scope. Content SEO & E-E-A-T is coordinated with the strategy, creative, experience, data and reporting it depends on, so responsibilities and handoffs stay visible in one written plan.

What to expect

Your content delivery timeline, and the full growth plan.

Content SEO and E-E-A-T work runs in overlapping rounds of research, building, publishing and watching results across the first 12 weeks. We watch how Google processes the pages and what results follow, but we can't guarantee either. This focused work sits inside the six-month Softscotch growth plan shown below.

Our full growth plan (all services together), month by month

Month 1

Foundation and review

We review your whole website, where you rank and your competitors, agree how the site should be organized, and set up hosting, analytics (visitor tracking) and your GoHighLevel lead system. The first agreed pages start going live.

KPI pages live
Month 2

Build and launch

The site is built or rebuilt. Main, service and industry pages go live with on-page SEO, website labels and technical fixes. Your Google Business Profile is improved and lead follow-up automations are switched on.

KPI pages in Google
Month 3

Early rankings, paid ads start

More pages built from templates (programmatic pages) start going live, paid ads and email follow-ups are switched on for early leads, and Google adds your pages to its results as the first rankings usually appear.

KPI search terms ranking
Month 4

Momentum builds

Rankings often start climbing, visits from free search begin to rise, ad spending is tuned to the return it brings (ROAS, return on ad spend), and groups of related articles and links from other sites build your reputation with Google.

KPI visits from search
Month 5

Results start to show

Main search terms can move closer to page one, the first leads from free search often arrive, AI tools may begin to mention you, and testing improvements to your pages (CRO, conversion rate optimization) helps more visitors get in touch.

KPI leads from search
Month 6

Growth builds on itself

Pages that are working are protected and improved, template pages bring in visitors searching for very specific terms, and SEO, ads, email and automation work together to bring steadier leads and sales. Timing varies by market and competition, and no ranking is guaranteed.

KPI leads and sales
How we compare

Content SEO isn't copying competitor word counts, mass AI writing or chasing an E-E-A-T score.

The difference is a clear, traceable link between a real customer problem, original useful value, careful writing, content everyone can use and results you can measure for your business.

The risk of using a different agency for everything
  • Starts with a monthly publishing target and how often keywords are searched
  • Copies competitor headings, topics and word counts into briefs
  • Treats every missing keyword as a page your site should publish
  • Adds author names, bios and badges to fake the look of E-E-A-T
  • Uses AI to produce more pages before proving they offer anything unique
  • Quotes second-hand sources without checking the original claim or its date
  • Adds Article or FAQ labels (schema) and suggests they bring a ranking or special search feature
  • Promotes content with no checks on permissions, disclosure or link rules
  • Changes the date and length and calls the page "updated"
  • Reports traffic and number of posts, with no view of usefulness or cost
vs
Softscotch
  • Starts with your readers' decisions, who owns each page and what each page should achieve
  • Builds briefs from customer proof, experts, sources and original value
  • Compares the options: create, improve, merge, link, hold off or leave out

Ethical, transparent, always on

One accountable team, strictly white-hat (only methods search engines and platforms allow), no shortcuts and no surprises. Support whenever you need it.

One plan, full-stack access

One Softscotch plan gives you access to the full service stack, coordinated around your priorities.

You do not need a separate agency or retainer for every channel. Your plan can draw from search, paid media, web, ecommerce, outreach, automation, lead generation, messaging, content, creative and operations. The agreed scope sets what is active, in what order and at what capacity.

Pricing approach

One price for everything, not a stack of separate retainers.

You get one price for your whole marketing, not a separate retainer for every service. SEO, paid ads, your website, automations, cold email and newsletters, we run all of it as a single scope, so you get the most result for what you pay. Agencies sell each of these on its own, so the invoice climbs whether or not that line drives a single lead.

Bought separately, service by service

A different agency or retainer for each service. The bill stacks up fast, and keeps climbing whether or not each one moves a single lead.

All of it, one scope

We run your whole marketing as one engagement, so you get the most result for what you pay, not a pile of disconnected invoices.

Questions, answered

Content SEO services FAQs: no made-up expertise, surface-level updates or mass-produced shortcuts.

These answers cover what's included, E-E-A-T, research, experts, AI use, authors, permission to use material, briefs, writing, removing old content, links between pages, AI search, measurement, timing and pricing.

Filter
What is included in Softscotch Content SEO and E-E-A-T services?

Your scope can include research into your content and audience, a list of your pages with owners, search and opportunity research, customer and expert research, original proof, site structure, page-type plans, writing briefs, writing, authors and review, citations and permissions, AI safeguards, a style guide and team training, links between pages, publishing, measurement, updates and rules for each page's life stage. Your proposal picks the pages, research, delivery and how often work happens.

Is Content SEO the same as blog writing?

No. Blog writing is one possible format. Content SEO decides which customer jobs and page types are worth the work, how each page relates to your sales and supporting pages, what proof and experts it needs, how it will be shared and measured and who keeps it accurate. Writing can be included or scoped separately.

What does E-E-A-T mean, and can you improve our E-E-A-T score?

E-E-A-T stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness. Google uses these ideas when it talks about content quality and in the guidelines for the people who rate its search results, and it says trust matters most. Google also says E-E-A-T is not itself a specific ranking factor, and there is no score. So we don't sell one. Instead, we improve real responsibility, experience, sources, methods, review, accuracy and openness where it makes sense.

How do you choose content topics?

We combine reader tasks, customer proof, search data, how sure we are about search groups, dated snapshots of results, which page currently owns the topic, what proof is available, the chance of clicks, the value of good-quality leads, cost and risk. We compare creating, improving, merging, linking, holding off and deliberately leaving out work, instead of publishing for every gap a tool shows.

Can you improve existing content instead of publishing more?

Yes, and that is often the better choice. We can correct facts, add original proof, make it clear which page owns a topic, improve structure and links, update useful images and video, merge overlapping pages or retire pages that are out of date. A real update adds value that helps the reader decide; changing the date, making it longer or rewording competitors is not enough.

How do experts and reviewers contribute?

We define the real question and what each reviewer covers, interview the right practitioners or product owners, keep notes and sources that can be credited, check important claims and send the draft through the expert, legal or compliance approval it needs. We describe credentials accurately and never ask a writer or an AI tool to pretend to be an expert.

Do you conduct original research or create first-party evidence?

Yes, when your business has the right access and your proposal includes it. The work may include studies, analyses, demonstrations, tools, data sets, tests or expert methods. We write down the question, process, permission to use the data, limits and approvals. Original research can create value nobody else has, but it can't guarantee press coverage, links, rankings or mentions in AI answers.

Do you use AI to research or write content?

Only within approved limits. AI can help with tasks like organizing source material or sketching a draft structure, but people check every important fact and citation, review originality and sensitive data, add real expert value and decide whether readers would reasonably expect to be told how the content was made. Google says using AI gives no special ranking advantage.

Can you produce content at scale?

Only when each group of pages has unique source value, stable data, a clear reason for each page to exist, a human owner, checks, spot checks on a fair sample, quality limits and a way to stop or undo. Google treats mass-produced, unoriginal pages made mainly to manipulate rankings as spam ("scaled content abuse"), whether AI, templates or people made them.

Do all articles need an author, reviewer and updated date?

Show accurate author and review details where readers would reasonably expect to know who is responsible or what expertise is behind the page. Dates shown should reflect when the page was really published or meaningfully changed, and should match any hidden page labels. We never invent contributors or change dates just to look fresh, and neither an author name nor a date guarantees a ranking.

How do you manage citations, customer material and content rights?

We prefer original sources, confirm that each source really supports the specific claim, and keep its context, date and owner. Images, quotes, data sets, testimonials and customer stories need written permission, credit and an agreed use. Being freely available online, or made by AI, doesn't prove you can reuse something. Legal questions go to the right owner on your side.

What is included in a Content SEO brief?

A useful brief sets out the reader's task, the page's purpose and owner, the search data and anything unclear about it, the page type, facts it must include, original inputs, experts and sources, related topics and links to other pages, images and video, banned claims, its role in getting people to act, accessibility, approvals, how it will be measured and how we'll check it's done right. It guides the work without forcing a copy of a competitor's outline.

How do you decide whether to prune, consolidate or archive content?

We look at the page's purpose, the unique value it gives customers, accuracy, proof, how it is used in search and by your business, links pointing to it, legal record-keeping, any replacement page and the cost of upkeep. Options include improving, merging, redirecting, archiving, hiding from search (noindex) or removing it. We check the paths customers and Google use, and no choice can guarantee you keep your current search results.

Do you handle internal links and content distribution?

Yes, if you choose it. We add links Google can follow between related pages, proof and sales next steps, and plan the right sharing on your own channels, through earned mentions or paid promotion. Sponsored or user-added links are marked the way Google requires. We share content because it is useful, and that doesn't guarantee links from other sites, press coverage or mentions in AI answers.

How does Content SEO support AI search visibility?

Google says the same basic SEO practices, and useful, original content that isn't a copy of what's already out there, still matter for its AI features (like AI Overviews). Clear ownership, original proof, correct business and product details, source context and well-written sections that can be quoted on their own can help AI tools find and use your content. We can test whether quoted sections keep their facts and limits, but no special file, label or format guarantees you will be cited.

How do you measure Content SEO?

We report production, search, usefulness, business and running costs separately. Search Console's search data for each page leaves out some searches for privacy, cuts off long lists and groups data under the main version of each page, and analytics visits and Search Console clicks are counted differently. We may report reading or task use, actions the content helped with, good-quality leads, production cost, review effort and old content that needs fixing, without claiming one article caused every later result.

How long does a Content SEO cycle take?

Timing depends on how much content is involved, search and customer research, when experts are free, original proof, permissions, review for regulated topics, writing, design, publishing in your CMS and sharing. A focused update is quicker than original research or a set of many connected pages. Your proposal separates delivery dates from the time it takes to see search and business results.

How is Content SEO priced, and is ongoing support required?

Pricing depends on the topics and pages you choose, research, experts, proof, writing, images and video, permissions, approvals, publishing, sharing, measurement and upkeep. Ongoing support is optional, but we recommend it for content that changes often or covers high-stakes topics. Your proposal states what you get, what is not included, outside costs, how often work happens and our fee.
