Lead Generation Agency for Leads You Own

We build a lead system you own: ads, search, landing pages and fast follow-up.

We'll reply with a written proposal: the work, what we need from you and an estimated timeline.

The real problem

Why you're not getting enough good leads

Most businesses don't have a lead problem. They have a lead system problem. Leads come from one channel, land on a weak page, wait hours for a reply and are never tracked to a sale. Or they are bought from a lead seller who sells the same person to three competitors. These are the six problems we see most.

  • Leads that never pick up

Forms fill up with fake numbers, spam and people who were never going to buy. Your team wastes hours chasing them, starts to distrust every lead and the good ones get missed in the noise.

  • Paying for shared leads

Pay-per-lead sellers often sell the same person to several businesses at once. By the time you call, a competitor already has. You pay for a race, not a customer.

  • Slow follow-up loses the lead

A lead comes in at 7pm and gets a call the next afternoon. By then they have booked someone else. Most businesses don't know how long their replies really take.

  • A website that doesn't turn visitors into leads

Visitors arrive but there is no clear offer, the form is long, the phone number is hidden and the page is slow on a phone. Traffic comes and goes without a single inquiry.

  • Everything hangs on one channel

All leads come from one source, such as referrals, one ad platform or one directory. When it slows down or costs jump, the pipeline dries up overnight.

  • No idea which leads became customers

Leads are counted, but nobody links them to quotes and sales. So you can't tell which channel brings customers and which only brings form fills.

Exactly what's included

What our lead generation services include

Our lead generation services build a system that brings inquiries straight to your business and keeps bringing them. We plan your offer and ideal customer, run the right channels (Google and Meta ads, search, outreach), build landing pages that turn visitors into leads, filter out spam and poor-fit inquiries, follow up within minutes and track each lead to a sale. You own the ad accounts, pages and lead data. Every lead is yours alone, never shared or resold to a competitor.

Eight areas of work cover the whole journey: who you want, how they find you, the page they land on, how good leads are sorted from bad, how fast they hear back and which ones became customers. Your proposal spells out the channels, pages and tools included.

Offer and ideal customer plan

We write down who your best customers are, what they need, what they are worth to you and what offer will make them get in touch, such as a free quote, inspection, consultation or guide.

Paid ads that bring inquiries

We run Google search ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead ads, LinkedIn ads for B2B and Google Local Services Ads (Google's pay-per-lead listings) where available, choosing only the channels that fit your buyers.

Search and local search

SEO (search engine optimization: ranking in free search results) and local SEO bring steady leads over time from people already searching for what you sell, without paying for every click.

#1

Landing pages and lead magnets

We build pages that match each campaign, with a clear offer, proof, a short form and an easy phone number. For longer sales, a lead magnet (a free guide, checklist or tool) earns contact details.

Outbound email for B2B

For business buyers, we build targeted prospect lists and send personal cold emails from properly set-up inboxes, following CAN-SPAM (the US law on marketing email) with a clear opt-out in every message.

Lead capture, filtering and routing

Every form, call and chat is captured in one place, checked for spam, scored on fit and sent to the right person in your team straight away, with a backup if they don't respond.

Fast follow-up automation

New leads get an instant text or email, a booking link and reminders, and your team gets an alert. Where it fits, an AI voice agent can answer or call back after hours. Texts follow consent rules.

Tracking from first click to sale

We track which channel, campaign and page brought each lead, then link leads to booked calls, quotes and sales in your customer system, so you can see the real cost of a customer.

Why Softscotch

How we generate better leads, not just more leads

A cheap lead that never answers the phone costs more than a pricier lead who books. So we judge our work by lead quality, speed of reply and sales, not by the number of forms. Our clients' systems have brought in more than 87,200 leads, and the lesson is always the same: what happens after the click matters most.

We define a good lead before we chase any

We agree with you what a qualified lead looks like: the right service, area, budget and timing. Every channel, form and report is built around that, not around volume.

Spam and poor-fit leads are filtered out

Forms ask a few smart questions, spam and fake numbers are blocked, and leads are scored so your team calls the best ones first.

Leads are followed up in minutes

People often go with the first business that replies. Instant texts, emails, booking links and team alerts make sure no lead waits overnight.

Every lead is yours alone

We never sell, share or resell your leads. They come from campaigns and pages built for your business, so the only person calling them is you.

You own the whole system

Ad accounts, landing pages, forms, lead data and automations sit in your name. If we part ways, the system keeps running and nothing is lost.

Reports tied to customers, not forms

We show leads, qualified leads, booked calls and sales by channel where tracking allows, so you put money where customers come from.

How we work

How our lead generation agency works: seven decisions we make with you

Before we spend money on ads or outreach, we work through seven decisions with you. Each one shows what we found, what we'll set up, who owns it and how we'll check it works.

Check 01 · Choose the right model

Your own lead system vs pay-per-lead vs data tools

We explain the three common ways to get leads and help you choose the one that fits your business.

Pay-per-lead can fill short gaps but is often shared and you own nothing. Data tools give B2B contact lists but your team still has to do the outreach. An owned lead system takes longer to set up but keeps working and gets cheaper to run as it improves.

Own system buildAds, pages, outreach and follow-up built in your name, with leads only you receive.
Pay-per-lead compareYou pay a seller per lead, often shared with competitors, and keep no assets.
Data tools compareSoftware that sells B2B contact lists; you still need outreach and follow-up.
Exclusivity checkWhether each lead goes to you alone or to several businesses.
What you keep ownAccounts, pages, data and history you keep if you stop paying.
Best fit decideThe model, or mix, that suits your budget, timeline and sales cycle.
Check 02 · Know who you want

Your offer, ideal customer and what a lead is worth

We agree who your best customers are, what they are worth and what offer will make them reach out.

Knowing what a customer is worth tells you what you can afford to pay for a lead. Without it, every cost looks either too high or suspiciously cheap.

Ideal customer defineService, area, size, budget and timing of your best customers.
Customer value valueRough value of a typical sale and of a repeat customer.
Offer offerA clear reason to get in touch now, such as a quote or consultation.
Qualifying questions askThe few questions that separate good leads from poor fits.
Capacity planHow many leads your team can handle each week.
Claims approveOffers, prices and promises approved by you and within the rules.
Check 03 · Pick the channels that fit

Channels for local businesses and for B2B

We match channels to how your buyers look for help, rather than running every channel at once.

Local service businesses usually do best with search ads, Local Services Ads, local SEO and Meta ads. B2B companies usually need LinkedIn, search ads, SEO and cold email, with a longer follow-up.

Search ads searchPeople searching for your service right now, on Google and Bing.
Social ads socialMeta and LinkedIn ads that reach the right people before they search.
Local localLocal Services Ads and local SEO for nearby customers, where available.
SEO organicFree search traffic that builds steadily and lowers cost over time.
Outbound outreachCold email to named B2B buyers, with consent and opt-out rules followed.
Mix balanceBudget shared between channels based on lead quality, not habit.
Check 04 · Sort good leads from bad

Lead quality, spam filtering and lead scoring

We make sure the leads reaching your team are real people who fit what you sell.

More leads isn't always better. If half are spam or poor fits, your team's time is the hidden cost. We would rather send fewer, better leads.

Spam blocking blockBot and fake form fills blocked before they reach your team.
Form questions askA few smart questions that show fit without scaring people off.
Lead scoring scoreEach lead scored on fit and intent so the best get called first.
Duplicates mergeThe same person counted once, even if they fill in two forms.
Team feedback learnYour team marks leads as good or bad, and we adjust.
Platform feedback feedLead quality sent back to ad platforms where possible, so they find more like it.
Check 05 · Reply before a competitor does

Speed of follow-up, booking and reminders

We measure how fast leads hear back and set up automation so nobody waits.

Speed matters because people often contact several businesses at once. Calls and texts to leads must follow TCPA rules (the US law on marketing calls and texts), so we set up proper consent on every form.

Reply time measureHow long leads really wait today, measured and tracked.
Instant reply replyAn automatic text or email within moments of every inquiry.
Team alerts alertThe right person notified straight away, with a backup if they miss it.
Booking bookA booking link or calendar so leads can pick a time themselves.
Nurture nurtureFollow-up emails and texts for leads who aren't ready yet.
Consent consentPermission to call and text captured and stored on each form.
Check 06 · Keep control with you

You own the leads, accounts, pages and data

We check that every part of your lead system belongs to your business, not to us.

Your leads and customer data are valuable. They should live in your own customer system, under your control, and stay with you whatever happens.

Ad accounts ownGoogle, Meta and LinkedIn accounts in your business's name.
Pages and forms ownLanding pages and forms on your domain or accounts you control.
Lead data storeEvery lead stored in your customer system, not a vendor's.
Automations accessFollow-up workflows built in tools you own and can see.
Privacy protectData kept only as long as needed, with privacy rules followed.
Way out exitA written handover plan so the system keeps running if we stop.
Check 07 · Report honestly, price clearly

Lead reports, cost per customer and how pricing works

We agree what you will see each month and how our fee is worked out before anything scales.

We don't charge per lead, because that rewards volume over quality. Your fee is based on the work in your plan, and ad spend is always kept separate.

Your type of business

Lead generation for your type of business

A roofer, an insurance agent, a law firm and a software company need different channels, offers, follow-up and ways to judge a good lead. Several industries also have strict rules on ads, calls and texts. We fit the system to how you really sell and work with your compliance or legal team where rules apply.

Real estate

Real estate agents and brokers

Seller leads are worth the most and are the hardest to find. Housing ads must follow Fair Housing rules, which limit targeting by age, gender and ZIP code, and calls and texts need consent.

Roofing

Roofing contractors

Storm, repair and replacement leads behave very differently. Fast follow-up and inspection booking matter, and job seekers and supply buyers need to be filtered out.

Home services

Home and on-site services

Customers often call the first business that answers. Service areas, opening hours and missed-call text-back decide how many leads turn into jobs.

HVAC and plumbing

Insurance agencies

Insurance agencies

Insurance marketing must follow state rules and carrier approval, and the TCPA requires proper consent before calling or texting leads. We work with your compliance team.

MeasureQuote requests and policies written where tracked
Law firms

Law firms and lawyers

Case leads are valuable and competitive. Ads and pages must follow lawyer advertising rules (ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3 and your state bar), and intake speed often decides who signs the client.

FocusPractice-area campaigns, intake forms, call tracking, quick callbacks
MeasureConsultations booked and cases signed
Healthcare

Clinics and healthcare providers

HIPAA (US patient privacy law) limits what forms and tracking can collect and share, and health ads have extra platform rules. We work with your compliance team.

What to expect

How long lead generation takes: your first 12 weeks

Planning, tracking and your offer usually take one to two weeks once we have access. First pages and campaigns often go live in weeks three to four. Paid ads can bring leads soon after, while SEO and outreach build more slowly. Cost per lead and lead quality usually improve over the following weeks, but we can't promise exact numbers or dates.

How we compare

Softscotch vs a typical lead generation agency

The difference is who owns the system, whether leads are yours alone, how fast they are followed up and whether anyone tracks which leads became customers.

The risk of using a different agency for everything
  • Sells leads by the piece, often shared with competitors
  • Keeps the ad accounts, pages and lead data in its own name
  • Counts every form fill as a lead, spam included
  • Leaves follow-up entirely to your team
  • Relies on one channel for everything
  • Sends traffic to a general homepage
  • Can't say which leads became customers
  • Promises a fixed number of leads
  • Locks you into a long contract
  • Reports volume, not quality or sales
vs
Softscotch
  • Builds campaigns for your business, so every lead is yours alone
  • Keeps every account, page and lead record in your name
  • Filters spam and scores leads before they reach your team
  • Sets up instant replies, booking links and team alerts
  • Mixes channels to fit your buyers and budget
  • Builds landing pages matched to each campaign
  • Tracks leads to booked calls and sales where your systems allow
  • Never guarantees lead numbers or cost per lead
  • Uses a short notice period written in plain words
  • Reports quality, reply speed and sales alongside volume

Questions, answered

Lead generation agency FAQs

These answers cover agencies versus pay-per-lead and data tools, exclusive leads, lead quality, follow-up speed, ownership, channels, cost, timing and how to choose a lead generation agency.

Filter
What does a lead generation agency do?

A lead generation agency brings you inquiries from people who might buy. A good one builds the whole path: who to target, which channels to use, the pages people land on, how leads are filtered and followed up, and how leads are tracked to sales. Our lead generation services do all of this in your name, so you keep the system.

What's the difference between a lead generation agency and buying leads (pay per lead)?

Pay-per-lead sellers charge you for each lead they pass on, and many sell the same lead to several businesses. You own nothing when you stop paying. A lead generation agency like us builds campaigns, pages and follow-up for your business alone, so every lead is exclusive to you and the system keeps working for you.

Should I hire a lead generation agency or use lead generation software?

Lead generation software and data tools mostly sell contact lists for B2B outreach. They can be useful, but your team still has to write the messages, send them, follow up and close. An agency builds and runs the whole system. Some B2B clients use both: a data tool for lists and us for outreach, pages and follow-up.

Are the leads exclusive to me?

Yes. Every lead comes from campaigns, pages and outreach built for your business. We never share, sell or resell leads to anyone else.

How do you make sure leads are good quality?

We agree what a good lead looks like before we start. Then we block spam and fake form fills, ask a few smart questions on forms, score leads on fit, merge duplicates and ask your team to rate leads, so we can cut sources that bring poor fits and send ad platforms better signals.

How fast should we follow up, and can you automate it?

As fast as possible, ideally within minutes, because people often contact several businesses at once. We set up instant texts or emails, booking links, team alerts with backups and follow-up sequences for leads who aren't ready yet. Calls and texts follow TCPA consent rules.

Do I own the leads, the ad accounts and the landing pages?

Yes. Ad accounts, landing pages, forms, automations and all lead data sit in your name and your customer system. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.

Which channels work best for local businesses and for B2B?

Local service businesses usually do best with Google search ads, Local Services Ads where available, local SEO, Meta ads and fast phone follow-up. B2B companies usually need LinkedIn, search ads, SEO, lead magnets and cold email, with longer nurturing. We choose the mix based on your buyers and budget.

Do you do cold email and outbound as well as ads?

Yes, for B2B. We build targeted prospect lists, set up sending inboxes properly and write short personal emails. Every message follows CAN-SPAM, with a real sender, a physical address and a working opt-out. We don't send bulk spam.

How much does a lead generation agency cost?

Our fee depends on the channels in your plan, the number of pages, the follow-up and tracking setup, outreach volume and any industry rules. Ad budgets are separate and paid straight to the platforms. We don't charge per lead. You get a scoped proposal that states what is and isn't included.

What does a lead cost in my industry?

It depends on your industry, area, competition, offer, channel and how quickly you follow up. We won't quote made-up averages. Once your tracking is live, we show your real cost per lead and, where your systems allow, your real cost per customer.

How long does it take to see results?

Paid ads can bring leads within days of launch. SEO and outreach take longer to build. Most clients have a clearer picture of cost per lead and lead quality within two to three months. We can't guarantee a number of leads or a date.

How do you report which leads became customers?

We tag each lead with its channel, campaign and page, then link it to booked calls, quotes and sales in your customer system where it allows. Reports show leads, qualified leads, reply speed and sales by channel, and say plainly where tracking has gaps.

How do I choose a lead generation agency?

Ask whether leads are exclusive, who owns the accounts and data, how they filter poor leads, how fast leads get a reply, how they track sales, how they price and how long the contract is. Red flags include shared leads sold as exclusive, no access to your own data and guaranteed lead numbers.
